His icy blue eyes started into mine, almost hypnotising me, My knees weakened , my eyes widened in shock. I thought he wouldn't even be here, but it turns out I was wrong
"C-Conor..I thought you.."
He wrapped his arms around me and hugged me not saying a word, I didn't know what to do or say, I just kept quiet, The silence broke as soon as Conor spoke.
"I wasn't going to leave you hanging Lou..."
I've never been this close to him, in fact I haven't been this close to a boy in a very long time, my heart felt like it was going to pop out of my chest. He grabbed me by the hand and starting walking towards Nandos, I followed him , my cheeks burning up, I tried to cover the fact I was blushing by hiding my face. What if anyone saw us right now?. Me and Conor stepped into Nandos and a woman greeted us
“Hello welcome to Nandos! How many people will be dining today?”
“Just Two”
“Right this way”
The woman took us to a table seated for two, I’m surprised she didn’t recognise Conor and scream in his face, I unzipped my leather jacket and took it off placing it on the chair I was sitting on, I then sat down and picked up the menu to see what I would eat, My eyes scanned through everything picking out the best thing to eat without getting to messy. I put down the menu and looked at Conor.
“So did you find something you’ll like to eat?” He asked me , To be honest I hardly even go to Nandos, This is probably the first time in 2 years.
“Well I’m not sure what to pick really..What would you recommend?” He let out a small smile
“Well I always have the chicken wrap with chips..Wanna try that?” I nodded then replied with a Yes.
“Oh and one more thing Lou..How spicy do you want it?..Because you look like the kinda girl who can’t handle spicy food” He joked around, I can’t believe I’m sitting with my idol about to have Nandos with him , Because I wanted to be brave I told him I wanted my meal extra spicy. Someone save me!. He asked me 3 times “Are you sure?” and I kept giving him the same answer which was yes.
“It’s to prove that I can handle spicy food Con” he laughed and got up from his chair
“If you say so Lou, But don’t moan if it’s too hot for you after, because I did warn you” He walked over to the counter to order our food , I sat on my chair fearing for my life, why did I order extra spicy food?! , Something tells me that I’m bound to embarrass myself in front of Conor.
Conor came back and sat back down on his seat and placed two cups on the table, One was full and the other one was empty
“I don’t know what drink you like and I didn’t want to risk it, so I brought the cup to you ”
I grabbed it and stood up from my chair.
“Oh, it’s Coke by the way” I replied as I walked to the station where it had the Drinks and cutlery, I noticed Conor didn’t bring any so I grabbed some and walked back to our table.
“You forgot these Con” I said placing the knife and fork on his side of the table.
“Woah I seem to be forgetting everything now a day’s” He let out a small laugh, I loved it when he laughed it would always make me smile , you see Conor has the cutest laugh ever , it’s so cute that I just want to cuddle him..Well I’m not going to do it now..because it would be awkward and he might run away, and I don’t want that really.
I sat back down and me and Conor started talking more, minutes later or food came, Ugh I really didn’t want to eat it , what if I die from how spicy it is?, I saw Conor stuffing his face with food so I thought I would do the same, I Slowly picked up the chicken wrap and took a bite of it , I felt my mouth burning up , I was almost in tears. Conor looked on me nearly choking on his food from laughing. I grabbed my coke and drank it hoping that the Peri-Peri sauce would go away.
“THAT’S NOT FUNNY CONOR!”
“It really is!..see I warned you 3 times and you didn’t want listen to me”
“Well I hope you choke on your food from laughing” I said as I crossed my arms and looked away from him , Well I couldn’t blame him since he did as me 3 times, I uncrossed my arms and picked up my fork and started eating my chips.
“Can I just say..That you looked like a dragon breathing fire” I laughed as I pictured it in my head
“Yeah right Conor” I never thought having Nandos with my idol would be so..Normal. We both finished our meals and started to talk about random things again , It might have not been a prefect meal to some people, but it was definitely perfect to me.
I put on my Jacket and got up from my seat ,Conor did the same and we both walked out of Nandos and started to walk in the direction of my House.
“So Mr Maynard, why did you choose me to be your Nandos date for today?” He paused for a while then looked at me.
“Well Miss Louise , you see I thought you were rather cute so I wanted to see you again, But this time alone”
My cheeks turned bright red, In no time me and Conor reached my house.
“Well I guess I’ll see you around Con” As I was about to walk to my front door Conor’s hand grabbed me and he pulled me towards him, he then wrapped his arms around me and hugged me.
“You can’t say goodbye without a hug.” He lifted up my chin and kissed my Cheek.
“See you around Lou..” He waved as he walked off , I just stood there frozen. Did he just kiss me on the cheek?!. .It all feels like a dream. I shook my head and made my way to my front door unlocking it with my keys, as soon as I opened the door I made my way to my room and hugged my pillow . This night was definitely the best night ever
