"Then Carly burnt the cookies." Amanda laughed into the phone. "Classic Carly. So, what do you want for Christmas this year?" Josh asked. "I don't know. I can't wait until we see each other tomorrow." "Right, my flight was delayed. I don't know when I will be back." "What?" "I'm so sorry. I have to go." Amanda hung up right before Carly got home. Carly noticed Amanda wiping her eyes. "What's wrong?" Carly asked. "Josh might not be back tomorrow." Amanda told her. Carly gave her a hug. "I got cookies." "Oh thank god, my parents would have killed me if there was no Christmas cookies." Amanda laughed. The next day was Christmas eve. "Did any flights become available?" Amanda asked. "No, I have been looking all night." Josh told her. "Josh, I miss you so much." "I miss you too. Do you know what you want yet?" "No. I have to go my parents are here." "Okay, bye." "Hi, honey." Amanda's mom said coming into her house. "Hi, mom." she said giving her a hug. "Where's that idiot you call a boyfriend?" Amanda's dad asked. "His flight was delayed." Amanda told him. They all sat in silence until Carly came into the room. "Hi!" she said giving them both a hug. "Hi Carly. How are you?" Amanda's mom asked. "Great." Half way through the night Amanda tried calling Josh again. "Hi, this is Josh. I can't come to the phone right now. Leave a message after the beep." Amanda looked down and wiped another tear from her eye. Carly walked over and gave her a hug. After her parents left at midnight, she tried calling Josh again. It was the answering machine. "Hi Josh. I finally decided what i wanted for Christmas. I want you. Josh, I love you. I love the way you hold me when I'm sad, the way we talk for hours on the phone, the way you look at me, and especially your eyes. All I want is you. Last year right now we were watching the snow fall. The snow is falling. Josh, the snow is falling and all I want is you. It's Christmas, please come home." Amanda hung up and went to bed. Six hours later she was woken up by snowballs hitting the window. She looked out the window and ran outside. "Josh!!!!" she exclaimed hugging him. He picked her up and spun her around. "Looks like you got your Christmas present." he said kissing her. "Merry Christmas." she whispered. He put her down and she picked up some snow and threw it at his head. "Bad mistake." he said throwing a snowball. Amanda ducked and it went over her head. "Ha ha, you missed m-" she started but Josh picked her up over her head. Laughing he put her down. "I love you." Josh whispered seconds before kissing her.
