Would anyone notice
if tonight
i dissapeared? She clutched the pink blanket she held, she softly pressed her face into it for some comfort. Her smile was there, saddened and grim. She stayed like that, her face against the soft fabric as her mind raced, she wondered what theyd do with it once she was gone.
She finally pulls her face away, her soft gaze taking in her childhood blanket one last time before setting it aside. She then got up her legs slipping out of bed then her body. She took a steady moment to fully stand, grabbing her florida hoodie and slipping it on. Letting out a soft chuckle, this hoodie wasnt hers, she lived far from florida. Rather, an old close friend had given it to her. Her eyes glazed over thinking about their times they had shared together, she choked back a sob taking deep breaths.
She calmly walked down the stairs, seeing her sister and mother in their respective chairs. She glanced at the clock, "6:30 huh?" she thought, looking back to her family. "Hey, mind if i take a quick walk?"
The look she got was abit confused, she never really left the house so her mother cracked a joke or two about it then gave her the go ahead.would anyone
chase me?As she stepped into the brisk winter cold, it struck her like daggers. She shivered, looking down so she could take the step off her porch and once she had reached the fence she stared back at her childhood home.
A pang of guilt crushed her soul as she drank in the sight, remembering everything she once had....and say the words
that i need
to hear. She laughed abit, turning away solemnly from her home. Her steps echoed in her head like gun rounds, walking down the neighborhood she played in daily. Seeing her best friends house, the man who was always there for her, never gave up, always wanted to be around her. She bit back her tears once more, remembering how badly she pushed him away. Yes, he was gone now, moving on with his girlfriend now in the military.
"We should join the military together!"
Averting her gaze away she kept walking, now picking up the pace. She started to get scared, picking up the pace further by running. Her steps rang through the air, heavy.
Her mind began to wander as she closed in to the heavily wooded treeline, finding her old path now covered with thorns. She grimaced as she grabbed the sharp branches moving them out of her way, they tangled around her legs, cut into her chest, ripped her hands.
"You know i love you right, ----?"
She gasped as she finally came out from the thorns, the cold make her wounds feel numb as blood coated her hands and her pants were ripped. She sighed heavily, wiping the blood along the hoodie she loved so dearly.
im no burden
not so worthless
bent so much that
i just might breakShe wandered back to her thoughts, her friends she loved dearly came back again. A small smile fell upon her lips, the times they shared playing games.
All consuming
The suffocating thoughts of those who loved her, stood by her side, stayed up till ungodly hours for her.
