Hey all,

Here's Chapter 8! It's not as long as i'd hoped... sorry :( but a word of warning – if you are uncomfortable with the THEME of suicide – as in, not the act of suicide but just the thought itself – then please do not read the final 'London's POV' in this chapter. Thanks so much.

Thank you for all the votes and comments! Now, I have included a video on the side – Daylight, by Maroon 5. It's a great song! What I want you to do is this: listen to it, but pause it at 2:33. Then, when you're just about to read the very last line of this chapter, press play.

This happened to me when I was writing it, and I had a complete emotional meltdown. Sounds weird, I know, but please try it! You might not have the same reaction as me but anyways...

Okay, enjoy the chapter!

Chapter Eight

Harry’s POV

I haven’t seen London in a week. I decide to pop over at her place and see if something’s up. Maybe she’s sick, or tired, or something. So I take a taxi to London’s place and pull the spare key out from underneath the flowerpot.

I walk in and immediately notice the voices. London’s, for one, and another girl’s voice. They’re chatting and laughing and talking about – maths?

I hurry up the stairs and press my ear against London’s bedroom door. Yep, it’s definitely maths. I didn’t know London had a nerdy friend. I open the door and walk in, taking in my surroundings. London and a hot ginger girl are sprawled on the carpet in their pyjamas, with textbooks open all around them.

“Are you guys studying for something?” I ask.

London looks up; so does Ginger. I see Ginger glance at London and silently ask her something; London nods briefly. Immediately Ginger gets to her feet and pushes me out of the door, slamming it shut. She calls out, “Go away, Harry Styles.”

“But––”

“I think I said, go away. London doesn’t want to see you, okay?”

Wait. What?!

Downhearted and hurt, I walk back down the stairs and out the door, getting into a taxi and angrily slamming the door. Why wouldn’t London want to see me? Is it because of the bad publicity Lorry’s been getting? Is it because of the things Chloe said on TV? Is it because I turned up at her graduation?

I decide it must be a mix of the three and shake my head in disbelief. How could London be like this? Could she really be the cowardly liar that Chloe made her out to be? That’s the only answer that makes any sense. Well, if London wants to avoid me, fine! Two can play at this game.
