Taehyung wakes up on a bed that isn't his, and in an unfamiliar room. He sits up, trying to remember what happened.

The door creaks open, revealing Jeongguk. "You're awake..." Jeongguk sighs in relief.

"What am I doing here?" Taehyung quickly stands up, glaring at Jeongguk. "You passed, I saw you and I took you here at my house..." the idol softly explains.

"Where are my friends?"

"Oh... your friends? Well, I didn't see anyone with you at the time, so... I don't know."

"Take me home. Now," Taehyung commanded, he didn't want to face his ex right now. "You still have to rest.. and plus, you might be hungry. I'll take you home after you've eaten," Jeongguk offered. "No thanks. I'll eat at home," Taehyung brushed past Jeongguk.

"Wait, Tae! Let's talk, please-" a loud thud was heard. Taehyung turned around to see Jeongguk on the ground, grunting. He worriedly ran towards his ex, only now noticing how sweaty Jeongguk was even though the AC in his house was on.

"Hey.. c'mon, stand up," Taehyung tried to lift Jeongguk up. He flings the idol's arm over his shoulder and helped him get to the bed.

Taehyung now noticed how flushed Jeongfuk's face was and how high his temperature is. Taehyung slowly removed the hoodie from Jeongguk. "You're wearing a suit and a hoodie? No wonder why you're so sweaty.." he says.

"Why'd you even save me..." he sighs. Though, the question was not directed at his ex, it was more of a soliloquy—yet Jeongguk answered.

"I was worried that if I wasn't fast enough... I'd lose you again," Jeongguk said, eyes half-closed. Taehyung stood up, causing Jeongguk to sit up and grab his ex's arm.

"Please don't go. Stay, please.."

"Gguk, lay down... I'm not going anywhere. I'll just get a towel," Taehyung never would've thought a day like this would come—the day where he and Jeongguk meet again.

Taehyung heads to the kitchen and opens the freezer, and saw an ice pack. He grabs the ice pack and a towel that was neatly folded on the kitchen table. He soaks the towel with water and squeezes the excess, leaving the towel damp.

"Sit up," Taehyung says, Jeongguk obliges. Taehyung helps the idol remove the hoodie, along with the button-up white shirt underneath it—leaving Jeongguk half-naked. Taehyung felt bad when he saw how much sweat the idol had been releasing. It made him rethink how he's been feeling towards Jeongguk.

Taehyung started to gently wipe the sweat off of Jeongguk's body with the wet towel. After he was done with the torso, he washed the towel again in the bathroom before moving on to the Jeongguk's face.

He softly wipes the towel around his ex's face, making sure to not hurt Jeongguk in the process. After he was done, he couldn't help but stare at his ex. He scoffs bitterly, who would've thought that his efforts of staying away from Jeongguk would just lead him right back to the said ex? It felt like fate was messing with him.

For a while, silence took over, that is until Jeongguk unconsciously grabbed Taehyung's hand—still asleep. "I'm sorry... so sorry," Jeongguk murmurs in his sleep.

Taehyung wriggles his hand out of Jeongguk's hold and opens the idol's closet—picking out a white shirt. He successfully put the shirt on Jeongguk without waking him up.

He checks the time on his phone—7:49 PM.

Taehyung tries to decide whether or not to stay or not. He turns to look at Jeongguk and finally makes his decision.

Taehyung felt bad that he had to lie to his bestfriend. Heck, he hasn't had any contact with Eunwoo ever since highschool. But he had to use someone else's name or else Jimin would find out about he and Jeongguk.

Even he himself doesn't know why he chose to stay. Perhaps it was because it was a way of saying thank you after what Jeongguk had done for him.

Either way, he chose to sit beside his ex on the bed—looking after him like how Jeongguk did just a while ago.

Taehyunt sat there for a few minutes, staring at his ex. He chuckled in pity, not at Jeongguk, but at himself. He pities himself for being so weak when it comes to the man. He sighs, leaning back on the bed—his back hitting the mattress. He looks up at the ceiling and then at Jeongguk.

"You make it so hard to hate you..."
