Chapter 14: Introducing Takumi as your boyfriend

The next day when you were getting ready for work, you couldn't stop thinking about what happened last night. You couldn't get the sight of Kouta's dead body out of your mind no matter how hard you tried not to think about it, the thought and image still bothered you. Meanwhile, Takumi was right outside your room when he knocked on the door and said, "Breakfast is ready."

You walked over to the door and opened it to the sight of seeing him smile. "Where is it?" You asked, "Aren't we eating in here like we always do?" Takumi shook his head and continued to smile. "You're my girlfriend now and that means starting today we can have meals comfortably in the kitchen." He grabbed you by your hand pulling you out of your room as you guys made your way downstairs together.

In the kitchen you two ate quietly together until Takumi asked "Are you seeing your friends today?" You looked up from your plate while you were eating before telling him, "Yeah...they're coming to my work." Takumi nodded then continued to eat quietly and afterwards he said "Will you introduce me today?" You were a little hesitant before responding. "...Yes, I'll introduce you to them today."

At work Masaru was in the back cleaning when you got there.  Kimi and Mei were already there sitting down at a table waiting for you, You looked behind you at Takumi who was following you inside.  You slowly approached your friends at their table and greeted them.  "Hey who's the guy your with?" Mei asked you.  Mei and Kimi waited for your response while you looked at Takumi before looking back at your friends.  "Guys...meet my boyfriend Takumi."

Takumi smiled and said, "Hi it's been awhile.  We use to be classmates in high school."  Mei and Kimi were shocked and speechless that for a moment they didn't know what to say so they smiled and laughed.  "Oh it's nice to see you again Takumi.  Have you seen anyone else from high school?" Kimi asked.   "Yeah.   I meet up with my friends here and there just like you guys." said Takumi.

Meanwhile, Masaru came out to the counter after hearing a little bit of your conversation.  You then told Takumi you had to work now and then Takumi said bye to you and your friends.   After Takumi left they both looked at you then Mei asked "Are you okay?" You nodded then hesitated to say anything.  Should I just tell them what's been going on? If I do then maybe they could help me.  "Guys...I think...I need your help." You tried your best not to cry but they could hear it in your voice so Kimi and Mei both stood up and hugged you.

"What's wrong? You can tell us okay?" said Mei.  "Yeah she's right.  Did something happen?" The weight of keeping your situation with Takumi a secret weighed heavily on your mind that it made you break down into tears but you weren't just crying because of that, you were also crying because of what happened to Kouta.  Mei grabbed you a chair so you could sit down and tell them what was wrong then you decided to tell them everything while Masaru on the other hand heard everything.

So that guy that came by yesterday was the friend she was texting...and the guy their talking about has her feeling really scared for some reason. I wish I could help but I don't know how. I won't say anything yet because I don't want her to know that I heard their whole conversation so for now I'll pretend I know nothing. Masaru turned his back as he stood in front of the sink with the water running.

After telling your friends everything, you were able to calm down a little. "Why didn't you tell us about this sooner? We could've helped you before it got to this!" said Kimi. "Yeah but now it makes sense why you came home that one night crying. You were so brave that night despite being scared outta your mind." Mei hugged you again tightly. "Thanks...but now I don't know what to do I'm so scared! I don't want you guys getting hurt because of me..!" You told them with worry.

"It'll be okay (y/n) everything will be okay." Kimi said then Mei told you "We're gonna help you get away from him. We'll come up with a plan but for now just hang in there until we have something ready okay?" You nodded in response and thanked them again.
