Season One || Bite: The 57th Exterior Scouting Mission

'I made the wrong decision'

You shot a sound grenade.

Your ears began to ring, due to the loudness. Your squad all covered their ears in pain.

"A sound grenade?!" Eren had his hands cover his ears.

"What's your job?" Levi looked behind him. "This squad's mission is to keep that little shit from getting so much as a scratch. Or die trying."

All members of the squad was silenced, there lips in a thin line.

"We'll keep riding on our horse from here on. Understood?" Your voice was soft, calming your squad a little.

"Understood!" They all yelled in usion. All except Eren. The said Cadet frantically looked around.

"How far?! That thing is right behind us!" He looked at the titan again.

More reinforcements came into view to attempt to kill the titan.

"Hurry! We have to help them before they get crushed!"

"Eren! Face forward!" Gunther scolded.

"Keep going at full speed!" Eren looked at the two in disbelief.

"Eld! Why?! Only Levi squad can stol that thing!"

The Female titan swated other soldier, crushing them on a tree.

"Another one dead! But we could've save them!"

"Eren! Face forward!" Petra told him yet again.

"You're telling me to let our comrades die and run?!" Petra only looked at him, silenced, not knowing if she should answer.

Eren continued to argue.

"I don't understand why we have to leave our fellow soldiers behind to die!"

With his patients running thin, Oluo spoke up.

"You can't understand that because you're still a rookie! Now shut your mouth and obey!"

You listened to them argue but, then they stopped. Concerned, you looked over shoulder just in time to see Eren ready to bite his hand to transform into his titan form.

"Eren?! What are you doing?!" You yelled, your voice laced with concern and worry. Eren could only stare at you.

"Turning into a titan is only allowed when your life is in danger! You swore, remember?!"

Eren looked at your [Eye/c] eyes, hand still in front of his mouth.

"Eren, your not in the wrong here." Your brother Levi spoke beside you. "If you want to go ahead."

Petra looked forward, not understanding why her superior officer would grant such act.

"It's true he's a monster but, it has nothing to with his titan power. No matter how much he's held back. No matter cage he's in. No one can force him to submit."

He looked over his shoulder, his steel grey eyes connecting with Eren's teal eyes.

"Belive in yourself or belive in me and the Survey Corps." He looked back at the path in front of him, his hair swaying as the wind blew past.

"Choose the decision you'll regret the least."

You gasped at this. You glanced at him. You remeber him saying this to you a few weeks after Isabel and Furlan died. When he finally told you what happend he said these excat words to you.

"Eren"

Your soft voice called out.

"Trust us."
