The ride was silent as Zahan drove them to the airport. They could've asked maula bhakhsh but Zahan insisted he'd drop them off since he didn't have anything to do.
The two didn't talk after last night's encounter, he wanted her to atleast look at him but the whole morning he only saw how tensed she looked.
The constant torture her teeth were doing on her bottom lip was concerning. Her head rested against the back door window and her eyes watched as the scenery passed by them in a rush. With hazy mind and a heated gaze on herself she didn't know which one to give heed to.
"Zoya?" Her father addressed her making her eyes turn to her baba with a flick of an eyebrow.
"Are you okay?" She nodded with a hum before her eyes met the ones she'd been avoiding all morning.
Her wavering heart was already at stake and this eye contact was proving to be worse for her condition. She felt a dagger of insecurities pierce her soul making her shiver internally at tht possible thought of her doing him wrong.
Am I really?
Shaking her head she tried keeping those thoughts at bay but they caught up just as fast as they left. She was doubting her own self now. She didn't know if what she was doing was right or wrong.
Stepping out of the car she finally looked at the grey eyed man. Yasir had gone for counter check in while she stood staring into his eyes which didn't waver from hers.
This was the last time she was seeing him now. The next will be after months and time never guarantees a reunion everytime.
"Well..." He started stuffing his hands in his pockets.
"Take care"
"Be careful"
The two said simultaneously making a chuckle escape past their forced smiles.
"You too"
"Yeah"
Again. She rolled her eyes and looked away waiting for him to say something, when he didn't she turned back to him.
"Will you miss me?" she grinned making him scoff. And just for a moment she forgot her nerves.
"Not even in my dreams" he rolled his eyes making her huff. Only his heart knew how fast it had beaten against his rib cage at the mention of his uncontrollable dreams.
"You don't have control over dreams Einstein." She said making him give her an over all glance.
"Exactly. That's why not even in my dreams, you're not very miss-able you know." he said leaning back against the car smirking at her narrowed eyed.
"Yeah whatever. Why did I even think that Einstein the greatest will miss me right?"
"Exactly."
"Six long months how will you live without my famous coffee?" She asked making him bite his lips thoughtfully. Her eyes dilated a fraction but she looked away before her heart could further drown in it's misery
"I'll find someone else" he stated making her raise an eyebrow and give him a curious look.
"Someone? Or a nice coffee place?" She asked to confirm with narrowed eyes.
"I was thinking of someone." He said smirking.
Her hands fisted and eyes looked him up and down in a judging manner.
"Sure. Might as well bring that someone back with you then. You won't be needing me anymore." she said crossing her arms over her chest.
"You're right. I will" he teased seeing her reddening face and defensive stance.
