Life... what is it? How do we develop a life of our own? How do we know who we want to be?
Most of life is in a straight line, some people just curve the line by changing some small parts of it. Some colour it and some just leave it as it is. It's a line from birth to dead you just have to fine a way to make the line special, hoe to make it yours.
The line starts when we enter this life as a baby. We open our eyes and face the world. This could happen anywhere on this planet. We go home with out parents and start growing, physically and mentally. By the joy and annoyance of our parents we learn to show emotion. We cry when we are hurt and we smile when we are happy. We learn to play to run to think to speak. Maybe not always in that order but we start exploring life and what we can do. This... the exploring is something that you will do all your life long.
So we go from baby to toddler, a little more annoying cause you get bigger and you're capable of more strength and words. You start to really see the world. This is where you unnoticeable start creating heroes.
Toddler to child is where you start to go to school. That's where we learn to socialize, by playing mostly but still. You learn what people do and how they do it and start sentences by 'when I grow up I'm going to be a...'. You start dreaming of life, one of the wonders of life to be able to dream. You keep dreaming and later you start making friends. Later you'll learn how to read and write. Some years go by and you'll get a little more independent, start playing outside without a chaperone and doing small shoppings with your pocket money. You finish school, and enter the next school depending on how smart they think you are.
There you'll reach puberty. Starting hating the world and everyone, but it's not negative. I mean puberty can appear to be a negative stage in life for bystanders, but it's most definitely not. On the contrary, puberty is quite important for a young soul. This is the time you find yourself and who you want to be. You start dreaming and taking steps towards the future. You find your personality and your goal. By this time your knowledge of life has far more expanded and this will come to use. The heroes you thought of before, become more real. This could change your goal and thereby your path in life. Okay fine you might scream from time to time, get pimples and braces. When you look at the whole picture, puberty is ok.
So we leave puberty behind and start being a young adolescent. We've finished school, or no maybe we didn't. This is where the line can split. You can get pregnant, go to college, start working, take over your dad's company and etcera. This time in life is quite important for your future and what'll you achieve.
Learn to dream to look at the stars and wish you could be there or that you could be one.
Stop making excuses and setting up boundaries.
You dreamed of what you wanted to be when you were a toddler. You looked up to your heroes when you were a kid, you worked for your future when you were a teenager. So why stop now.The time in life to start make choices, this is where I am right now.
I don't know where my line is headed, where I am going. I can remember that I wanted to be a policewoman, a cook, a biologist, a model and a singer.
And now I'm doing it all. I sing in the shower and in my car. I cook for my friends and my parents, I have an instagram account with photo's of myself. I have a little garden and I am very strict with rules and chores around the house. So I am kind off doing it all in one just not how I imagined.
Now it is time for the next step, what do I want to do when I grow up.
I wan't to live!
I got one life, so it'll be a pitty to waste that. Won't it?
