Emma woke up to the sound of her alarm screaming. She groaned and reached over to shut it off. She groggily pulled herself out of bed and got ready for today. She quickly hopped in the shower and did her hair. When she stepped out, there was a knock on her door. "Emma, are you up?" A voice called.

"Yes, Mary Margret I'm awake," Emma said in a soft tone. She opened her door and was met by the smiling brunette. She gave a small nod and walked back down the stairs. "What smells so good?" Emma asked.

"Your father made something for you to eat, he figured you'd be hungry." Her mother said. Emma still wasn't used to referring to David and Mary Margret as her parents just yet, but she was working her way up to that.

"Starving!" Emma exaggerated. Her mother chuckled and grabbed a plate, setting it down in front of Emma. Emma smiled and thanked her mother.

"Crap, I've got to get down to the school but I will see you later Em?" Mary Margret questioned. Emma nodded and waved to the woman who was rushing out the door. 10 minutes later and Emma had her plate cleared. She grabbed her keys and walked out her her yellow bug, hopping inside and driving to granny's for a coffee before heading to the station.

"Morning sheriff, what can I get ya?" Ruby asked. Emma smiled and sat.

"Hot Chocolate with whipped cream and cinnamon. To go please." The young voice of Henry Mills spoke for his mother. Emma turned and looked at the boy.

"Shouldn't you be at school?" Emma asked. Henry shook his head.

"I figured you could walk me, I like walking to school with you." Henry said softly but firmly. Emma smiled and Ruby placed the hot chocolate on the counter for her. Emma grabbed the cup and walked out with Henry following.

"Your mom doesn't like it when I walk you to school," Emma states. She takes a sip of the drink letting the warm liquid slide down her throat. It gave her a warm feeling for a few moments but the cold soon hit her again.

"She won't know." Henry said. Emma cocked her head at the young boy and chuckled.

"Henry, you say that every time and she always confronts me about it," Emma replies. They walked up to the entrance of the school where Mary Margret was waiting. They said their goodbyes and Emma walked back to her car and drove to the station.

Emma was sitting in her office working on some papers for Regina when she came waltzing in. "Ms.Swan, do you have what I asked you for?" Regina asked as she knocked on the doorway. Emma looked up and gave her a faint smile.

"Most of it ye-" Emma started but was cut off by Regina.

"Most of it isn't good enough Ms.Swan." Regina said sternly. Emma rolled her eyes.

"I have one more thing to get done, can you wait long enough for me to do that?" Emma asked. Regina rolled her eyes and sat down across from Emma. Regina began to twiddle with her fingers in her lap begging internally for the woman to hurry up.

"When the rain is blowing in your face, And the whole world is on your case, I could offer you a warm embrace, To make you feel my love
When the evening shadows and the stars appear, And there is no one there to dry your tears,I could hold you for a million years, To make you feel my love." Regina looked up as Emma continued with the soft tune as she finished the paperwork.

"It's a nice song." Regina said. Emma looked up forgetting the woman was there and her cheeks reddened.

"Uh-Thanks," Emma said nervously. "I forgot you were there." The Mayor raised a brow to question.

"I'm quiet when I want to be Ms.Swan." Regina spoke. The blonde nodded. Emma stood up and handed Regina the rest of the papers. "Thank you." Regina said calmly as she stuffed them neatly into the accordion folder. Just before Emma could speak the walkie went off.

"Hey uh Em?" David said. She picked it up and replied.

"What's up David?" Emma asked.

"We have an issue at Gold's and he's requesting you." Emma rolled her eyes.

"Of course he is," she said to herself. "I'll be there soon David."

"You could call me dad." He said.

"I think David is good." Emma says and clicks the walkie back into its place.

"Family issues Ms.Swan?" Regina asked. Emma shrugged and walked out of her office and towards the exit. "I'll see you tomorrow Ms.Swan?"

"Why?" Emma asked. She didn't owe her anymore work or at least she didn't think she did.

"Henry asked if you could drop him off at home, didn't he speak with you?" Regina asked.

"Oh, um it must've slipped my mind yes, I'll see you tomorrow." Regina nodded and walked over to her car. She stood and watched as Emma hopped in the squad car and drove off to Gold's shop.

-

"What happened?" Emma asked Mr.Gold when she entered his shop. Her turned and faced her.

"Someone broke into my shop they didn't take anything but someone was in here." Mr.Gold stated.

"Are you sure?" Emma asks. Gold nods and shows her the back door.

"The glass is broken and I've caught the thief on camera. Not his face but it's the guy who broke in." He pointed. She watched the tape and saw a masked man start to rummage through Gold's things. "Do you think you'll be able to track him dearie?" Emma nodded and asked if he could make a copy. He complied and said he would have one dropped off later that day for her.

Emma locked up the station and walked out to her car. She turned on the car and went to close the door when she heard footstep approach her. She got out of the car and quickly her gun.

"Don't move!" Emma shouted causing the figure to jump.

"Dammit Swan!" Regina shrieked. Emma put the gun down and placed it in her holster. "Are you going to shoot me if I give this to you?" Regina asked as she held up a disk.

"I'm sorry I though you were the guy who broke into Gold's shop." Emma said once she herself had finally calmed down.

"Well I wasn't." Regina replied. Emma rolled her eyes.

"I figure that out when you yelled 'dammit Swan' and jumped a half a mile out of you skin." Emma said in a slightly mocking tone. Regina handed her the disk.

"Gold gave it to me." Regina said. Emma nodded and placed it in the car.

"Thank you but I have to go re- Madame Mayor." She got into the car and drove back to the apartment she shared with her parents.

"Hey Em how was work." David asked. Emma shrugged.

"Long and not really eventful after Gold, not that a break in with him ever is." Emma states.

"We made dinner if you want to eat." Mary Margret said once she emerged from behind the curtain. Emma let out a yawn before speaking.

"I-I'm really tired I think I'm just going to go to bed early." Emma shrugged. Her perfects nodded and watched as she trotted up the stairs.

"Do you think she will ever not be mad at us?" Mary Margret asked.

"In time she will, but we have to give her that time." David said as he kissed his wife.
