“Ayy, siomai ni Marites! Kinikilig siya, oh!” Demi nudged me, I smiled at her as I return my gaze in front of us.

“Grabe, dzai! Hindi ko nakaya 'yong buhok mo!” Audrey exclaimed after I told them what happened yesterday in our date. “When kaya kami ni Zeus?”

“’Teh, ‘wag mo na asahan 'yong Zeus mo. Tingnan mo, hindi na nga sumabay sa atin mag-lunch dahil kasama yung childhood best friend slash ultimate crush niya!” Demi said while pointing at Zeus on the other table, Audrey frowned as she hit Demi with an empty bottle on her head.

“Panira ka, eh!” She rolled her eyes as she played with her hair.

“Wait, ikaw ba ‘to?” Iryn asked, showing us the a photo posted in Vince’s IG account. Since it’s dark and against the light because the lightings in that garden were behind us, our faces weren’t that visible, only our silhouettes. “Wait, anong caption?” She faced the screen as she read it but Audrey quickly grabbed it from Iryn’s hand.

Demi cackled after Audrey read it, I just frowned at her.  “Anong caption ‘to? Wala bang pa-guilty for loving this girl beside me? Oh, ‘di ba? Mag-aabogado tapos hindi ginagamit yung law terms and jargons sa pag-caption?” she sipped on her iced tea.

“Si Zeus nga, magdo-doctor tapos about biology pinagshe-shared post sa FB pero hindi makapag-post ng pictures niyo,” Demi retorted. Audrey hit her with a bottle for the second time.

“Crush mo nga, architect pero mas inuuna ang ibang babae kesa sa plates at lalo na sa ‘yo!”

“Oy! Pasmado!” Iryn exclaimed while laughing. Demi also hit Audrey with the plastic bottle. I don’t know what’s with them, why are they being so hyper now? “Pero, Drey, mali naman 'yong caption na nabasa mo, eh.” Iryn showed her phone’s screen once again. Audrey read it, Demi also stood up to peek.

“What the!” irit niya. Willing to be subpoenaed stuck beside you. Demi hit my arms, agad ko naman siyang hinampas pabalik. This is the problem when they’re being giddy, they’re always hitting me. And the case is, nahahawa na rin ako sa kanila.

“Feeling ko talaga, nafo-fall na ‘yan sa ‘yo,” Audrey commented. Pinanlakihan ko siya ng mata. She’s the only person except Vince and I, and also my family, who knows about the pretension thing. “No, I mean, noong una kasi akala namin ay ginagawa ka lang niyang rebound,” pagbawi niya.

“Agree!” Demi said, nodding her head.

“Don’t get us wrong, Brey. But, you know? It was only two months tapos may iba na agad siyang nililigawan? Real quick,” Iryn added.

“No, I don’t mind. In fact, it also crossed in my mind.” I said, lowkey slapped Demi’s hand for eating all my chips.

“So, if totoo ‘yon, anong gagawin mo?” Iryn asked. She put her chin above her palm while fidgeting her fingers.

“Then I will let him wait for a longer than the expected, and I will dump him for him to realize how painful it is,” I answered. Well it will never happen because it’s clearly not real to me. Hindi totoo 'yong panliligaw niya.

“That’s our Brey! Come to mama!” Demi said, chuckling as she pulled my hair. I glared at her.

“Ang kulit ni Demi ngayon, may something ‘no?” Audrey asked.
