I was walking to my locker when it happened.
It all happened so fast, I thought I was going to die.
I tripped and fell and, when I was blushing and embarrassed, someone grabbed my arm and said "Get up, you're in my way." I turned around to yell at whoever the snippy person was but was at a loss for words when I saw who I was about to yell at.
Carter fucking Johnson.
Can you say "unexpected"?
"I-, uh-, I-...."
"Just shut the hell up and MOVE."
"Don't talk to me like that." I said defensively, recovering from my shock.
"What. Did. You. Just. Say. To. Me." He said through gritted teeth. I obviously hit a nerve.
I said, "What do you want?"
"More important question, why are you still here?"
"Shut up, you imbecile."
Everyone in the hallway stared at me like I had five hundred eyes.
I had forgotten. Up until now, he was just annoyed. Bored and annoyed. Not angry, not mad, just annoyed and bored.
Oh shit. Now I've done it.
He walked up to me and said, his hot breath killing me softly, "No one tells me to shut up."
I wasn't thinking. I don't know why I did it.
I kicked Carter Johnson in the no-no-zone.
No clue why.
I'm Lily, by the way. Lily Spanos. Average teenager. Well, up until this point. Now I'm not so average anymore.
Carter Johnson is the most popular guy ever. So cliche, right? But it's true. I never wanted this. Wait, rephrase. I never knew I wanted this. I must have all along and not realized it. Hm. Anyway... I kicked Carter. Yup. You know what happened after that? This:
Carter face scrunched up in pain as I kicked him. I threw my hand over my mouth and thought shit. I was in deep shit right then. He looked at me with a menacing expression on his face and said "Well, GOOD MORNING BITCH!" He then whispered in my ear so no one else could hear, "Be careful. You never know what I might do to get you back." He smirked and walked away.
