The Surprise

A black shadow with short hair, slumped shoulders and a wide chest and thick tree trunk like thighs. Despite its mass, it tip toed silently through the halls. I pulled my dark brown hair highlighted with red back into a slicked back ponytail. I slid my legs silently as the stranger and followed it.

Suddenly the lights flickered on and scared the shit out of me. "Fuck mom", I shrieked startled. "Sorry baby girl, we have a huge surprise for you though," she replied with a hint I couldn't decipher. she flipped her chestnut brown hair out of her black hat and smiled. Then she sashayed down the hallway to join my dad in bed. " Go back to bed, tomorrow's your last day, you'll want a good nights sleep." She called down the hallway. I dragged myself to bed and fell into a deep sleep.

Only to be waken up to the familiar sound of my alarm clock. Slowly I dragged myself out of my warm comfortable, beautiful bed. I walked to the bathroom and washed my face and brushed my long hair. I decided to do cat eyeliner today. I shrugged on a pair of leggings and a cardigan, ran downstairs snatched the last Eggo waffle and darted for the waiting bus. I walked down the hallway, always confident, hugged my best friend good morning and smiled. I'm not that pretty, but I'm pretty and good enough to have a boyfriend.

His name is Jack. Jack Litvinsky, and he has chestnut brown hair, and swishes to the side. He looks gorgeous in snapbacks, and can always make me melt with that devilish smile and that mouth drooling dimple. Every girl wants him, somehow a girl like me nagged his attention. I kissed him on the cheek, and said good morning. He kissed my forehead and carried my books to my next class, with his arm wrapped possessively around my waist. I blushed and watched him go to his class.

Slowly the day wore on, and finally I caught up with Jack and Crystal, my best friend and my boyfriend. Suddenly, Jack pulled me over and said," Hey, I don't think this is working out, and I like the new girl from team B. I'm sorry Lily, but I'm leaving you. Don't worry, there are tons of guys in the world." He pay my shoulder and gave me a hug. I tensed and stood stiff as he wrapped his warm strong, and safe hug I once knew. I couldn't keep the barrier, and tears flowed freely. I dashed for the bus, shoved my backpack in my lap and cried for all I've been worth.

He was everything to me... And now it's all gone. I watched my feet drag me to the awaiting bus, and I plopped in a vacant seat and turned to let all my sadness that had coming for me to explode. My heart was torn to a million pieces. The bus pulled onto my driveway and I ran off, shoved the door open, and ran straight for my room.
