The prisoner's dilemma is a paradox in decision analysis in which two individuals acting in their own who self-interests do not produce the optimal outcome. The typical prisoner's dilemma is set up in such a way that both parties choose to protect themselves at the expense of the other participant.

But what if instead of two, there were twelve?
A dozen people, handpicked to be the subjects of a deadly experiment.
By choosing to kill someone, they are released from the experiment
but
By keeping everyone alive through eleven challenges, they will all be able to leave.
Each task is more difficult than the last, ranging from injecting mystery liquids into themselves, to escaping trained killers.
Dying during a challenge is not only likely, but expected.
