HOLT'S POV
"Who is she?" Dad asked when we were having dinner
"Who is who?" I asked back truly confused
"The girl on your mind" mum answered
"How would you even know there's a girl on my mind?" I asked
"We are your parents" she replied with a duh tone.
"So who is she?" dad asked again.
I shrugged,"maybe you guys don't know me that well, there's no girl on my mind. I'm just thinking of the calculus test we have tomorrow."
"Yeah, right."mum said
"C'mon Holt, tell us." dad insisted
" There's this new girl at school..." I gave up
"Finally we're getting somewhere! What's her name? How pretty is she? Does she like you too? Of course she likes you! When will we meet her?" mum asked without stopping
"I never said anything about liking her. Her name's Aeleon." i said and dad frowned slightly
"That's an interesting name." mum said happily sighing.
"Yeah, I guess. Aeleon Donovan is a very interesting person." i sighed
"Donovan? As in Donovan Corporations?" Dad spoke up
"Uh.. yeah. She's the girl who's mum was murdered a two weeks ago. Remember, it was all over the news." I said and dad tensed a little, weird.
"Do you have any idea who her father is?" mum gasped" The head of The Donovan Corporations, the company your dad doesn't like very much because they keep interfering with his business"
"It's okay, if he wants the girl he can have her" Dad said but there was something suspicious about his behaviour.
AELEON'S POV
I love Saturdays. I can do whatever I want, no restrictions. I always start my Saturday with a run so, I changed into Victoria's Secret sweatpants and its matching sports bra, grabbed my speedometer / milometer/ pedometer/ stop watch , warmed up before leaving the house.
You know how normal people normally go for normal walks and runs in a normal park or street? Well, since my family is anything but normal, our house is so huge that the garden ( or backyard) is like a forest and I'm not exaggerating.
I moved at a normal pace when I first started running, or jogging, but halfway through, mum's voice started taunting me.
You have always been an extremely bad runner, but I didn't think you were this pathetic.
'Mum go away' I thought picking up my pace
Why can't you be more like your brother? He's a success the voice came again and I run faster trying to get away from it but, how can one run away from memories?
He's the perfect son, I'm so glad I had him. Be like him and let me be proud of you for once I run faster and faster trying to get away from the voice. I felt the wind whip around me and I knew I was pushing myself but I still kept on going.
