Around Dawn, a swirling mess of embers danced before her eyes. Her eyes becoming slits, she jumps to the nearest tree, then begins jumping branch to branch.
Soon she stands outside her home, witnessing the murder of her family and all that she knew.

Her limbs grew, fur receding back into her pale skin, making her hair grow.
Dawn ran through the charred forest in a blue dress, woven from the petals of Marilla flowers, her mother's favorite.
Soon she stopped at what used to be her home. The tree house that she lived and her mother lived in was in ruins. Only a little part of the tree was left, extending from the ashes and broken planks, was a hand.
Running to it, stretching her short, pudgy legs out as long as possible she grabbed her mother's hand.
It was cold.
She finally gave up and presumed the very worse.
Her family,
Her friends,
And more than likely all other nature spirits,
We're lost to the flame King Pyro started.
Tears swelled in Dawn's eyes as she remembered the conversation her and her mother were having before the smell of burning cedar filled their home

"Mama! Mama!" Her mother smiled at Dawn as her black, shining hair shuddered behind her as she ran to her.
"Yes darling?"
"Look what I found!" In her hand, she held a light blue Mailla flower, one that matched her dress.
"Oh, it's perfect! Here," Her mother smiled lightly, placing the flower behind her daughters ear.
"Now," her mother continued. "Why don't you go to the stream and tell Hilda hi, she appreciate I-"
Her mother stopped short, the smell of charred wold filling her home, her face suddenly becoming serious.
"Shift into a feline honey, I. . . I. . . Run to the edge of the first and always remember Mama loves you. . . Mama will never forget you. . . Don't forget Mama. . . Always love Mama. . ."
Her Mother blinked back tears and kissed the top of her head.
Confused, Dawn turned into a black kitten, and sprinted toward the edge of the forest.

"Mama. . . Mama. . . Wake up wake up. . . Mommy please Mama Mommy. . "
Dawn's Mother never rose again.
