The Reunion: Avy and Ian

"How did you end up as Lady Miary's knight?" Pag-iiba niya ng usapan namin kaya naman napatingin ako sa tubig.

"*took a deep breath* I decided to have a journey after you left and I met her on my way," I told him how did I meet Lady Miary but I didn't tell him what happened to Lady Layla and the main reason why did I went to a journey. He just listens to me until then while I'm playing with the water.

"How is Lady Layla?" He asks me at agad naman ako tumingin sa kalangitan bago ako sumagot na okay lang sila nang iwan ko sila doon kahit na gusto kong umiyak pero hindi pwede dahil he is working with the knights under the Kingdom. Natahimik siya konti kaya napatingin naman ako sa kanya dahil naging seryoso pero nung tumingin siya sa akin ay ngumiti siya. Hindi ako sure kong namamalikmata ba ako o hindi bago siya sumagot na 'that's good to hear' kaya napangiti lang din ako.

"Does Her Grace know your real gender," He asks me with his worried face? I smiled at him before I answered that she doesn't know. He looked at me in relief as he pats my head and I removed it as I said to him that I am not a little kid but he answered me that my height was.

"Did you eat your dinner?" He asks even though he knows that I didn't since he knows my habit when I was the one who cooks.

"You really know how to piss me, Ian," I said and he said he was joking and I answered him it is not a good joke.

"Here, eat it." He said as he handed me a local chocolate na lagi kong kinakain since he was not fond of sweets pero napapakain siya dahil sa akin.

"Why do you have this when you didn't like sweets in the first place?" I said as I get the chocolate from his hands at agad kong kinain.

"I always have that for something to eat when I get hungry especially when I have missions," Sabi niya kaya napatango nalang ako sa kanya.

"Is that also the reason why I haven't receive any replies from you?" He asks me na madaming beses siyang nag send ng letters but pero wala siyang narereceive na reply mula sa akin and he is sad about that since you can see his face na nagtatampo.

"a-ah, about that, I'm sorry. I didn't reply when you send me letters since a week after you went here I leave the town." I answered him while smiling to hide my nervousness.

"It's okay, we can't do anything about that but in my first letter I'm sure you read that." He said to me habang nakatingin siya sa ilog.

"Yes, I read it and I was about to reply but I thought that it will be a bother since you are busy with your training, you will be tired at night and no time to read the letter," I said. Even though the truth is I am lazy to write a letter and my handwriting is not good.

"What?! Why would you think that it's a bother?" He said while looking at me.

"Ah, because you should have enough rest at night and I think that when I leave Lady Layla I can meet you the way so I didn't reply," I said kahit na half-lie and half-truth ang reason ko. *I even waited for it* he mumbled but I didn't get what it is.

"Really? but why didn't you tell me that is you when we meet at the welcoming party?" He said kaya naman napaiwas ako ng tingin as I answered him that it was awkward since he was so cold and a little bit scary because he was too serious, and he replied that he was like that ever since but I answered him that it does not cause he knows to smile a little bit. He answered me that he is working, and smiling does not include for him to smile at anyone unless he was not on duty and I answered him that even though and he should at least not look scary or else he can't find a nice woman.
