Unexpected letters

Y/N POV:

I was walking home from University for the last time this year. Finally I can have a break. It's not easy pleasing parents with high expectations. As I was lost in my excitement from finally being on break, i noticed a strange white letter sticking out from the letter box, and it was addressed to me! I wasn't expecting any mail so I was confused as to why I had received a letter. I cautiously open

the envelope and see that it was from my school.

"Dear Y/N,

We are happy to inform you that because you are a top student here at Australian National University, (A/N: look man idk 😂)

we have selected you to take part of our annual student exchange program. We are aware that you study French, but unfortunately there wasn't any spots left in that program, so you will be spending a year in South Korea. The travel expenses will be covered by the program. You will be departing first week back next year. More information will be emailed to you and family after New Years. Enjoy your break.

I re-read the letter over and over, I couldn't believe my eyes! How on earth am I supposed to survive in a forge in country, living with a host family that doesn't speak any of the languages I know.... ughhh this is going to be hard. I run inside and show my parents the letter. I was expecting them to be shocked but apparently they were the ones who signed me up for the exchange program. Maybe they were getting sick of me? Oh well... I'm just going to try and forget about it for now and enjoy me last 5 weeks here in an English speaking country. Please, at least let my host family be nice...

Maknae line POV:

We're running away from our hyungs because we threw water on them. Today was our last day of college for the year so why not prank them and have a little fun? Plus it was funny- well at least to us three it was. We get to the front porch panting and sweating from running all the way back- didn't feel like getting beat or scolded today you know? As we walk up to the front door Jimin notices a letter addressed to all seven of us- strange. We'll wait till the grandparents get home and read it together.

Jin POV:

Me and the other hyungs finally reach home, still soaking wet. When I see those little bastards I'm going to whip out my new pink slippers and teach them a lesson 💅🏽💋 We see them standing at the front door huddling over something, but I can't see what. I signal to the others to keep quiet as I carefully take my shoe off then throw it at them as hard as I could. Sadly I only hit Jimin and not all three of them.

"Hyung?? What the hell?? Why only me?" He whines angrily. Think Jin think. Quick excuses-

"Well you're the eldest of you idiots so you should've known better than to let them go through with that dumb idea" I'm the kind of quick excuse man.

"Hahaha you deserved it Jimin-ah.. anyways hyungs we found this in the mail box, it's a letter addressed to all seven of us" Jimin shot jungkook a death glare as he was speaking.

"Ok then, how about we all actually go inside the house and open it on the couch, I'll read it out" Namjoon ushered them inside the house.

"So what's it say joonie?" I ask once we are all seated and he's opened the letter. He then begins to read it out to us.

"Dear Kim family,

It's our pleasure to inform you that you will be hosting an exchange student next year. She will be arriving from Australia on the first day back to university. Please keep in mind she can barely speak Korean so you will all be required to help her upon her arrival. Her contact details will be given to your parents the week before her arrival. Please make her feel welcome as her school have said she will be nervous. Enjoy your break.

We all sit with our mouths wide open. Mum and dad walk in with wide smiles on their faces, the obviously know something..

"Sooooo we signed up to be a host family since we knew you all wanted a little sister- except she's not really going to be your sister, but hopefully you can treat her as if she is?" Dad explained, the tone of his voice sounded like he was nervous to see our reactions.

'B-but she can't speak Korean fluently. Only Namjoon, Mum and you can speak English! How are the rest of us supposed to communicate with her" I will admit I am a bit stressed about the language barrier and my brothers look the same but I'm sure Mum will have something to reassure us with.

"She is a top student at the national university. She also hasn't ever tried to study Korean before. So I am sure that if we help to teach her, she'll catch on pretty quickly. When her school gave us her profile they said she learned French fluently in only two and a half weeks" All of our faces light up again, especially Namjoon. He must be excited to finally have another nerd in the house.

"So... I won't be the youngest and we get to have a little sister, who is smart, for a year?" Jungkook excited exclaimed as mum and dad nod their heads

"Guysssss we have to go shopping and prepare her bedroom now!!! I'm soo excited omgg" Tae jumps to his feet and runs to get his coat.
