I'm super sorry for not updating sooner....also I'm sorry for making this really short. I still don't know Magnus', Jace's, and Izzy's plan.....so......this is about Alec until I think of something. Any ideas for a plan would be appreciated! :)

Alec was sitting at his desk when he heard Kara come in behind him. He had been trying to take his mind off everything and just doddle on some paper that had been left there, but that obviously wasn't working.

"Well, good news," Kara's voice said from behind him. Alec swung his legs over the side of the chair and looked at her coldly.

"What?" He said harshly. Not harshly enough though, Alec thought.

"That note Ben had you write, you know the one?" Kara paused, as if she was waiting for Alec to nod or something. He didn't move. She continued hastily, "So, my sources have informed me the warlock is coming."

Alec felt a million emotions rage through him at once. Hope, he wanted to be rescued, but he was scared for Magnus. Even after he cheated on him, Alec still loved him and wanted him to be safe. He also felt anger, he was angry at Kara and Ben for blackmailing Magnus like this.

Alec pondered what to say, then decided on a defensive approach. The anger seethed through him. "Magnus," he said.

"What?" Kara asked, thrown off guard.

"You said "the warlock", his name is Magnus." Alec stood up, making himself way taller than Kara.

She glared up at him. "It doesn't matter what his name is, he's still a warlock. And that's all he'll ever be."

Alec wasn't sure what he was thinking when he decided to act rashly, he probably hadn't even been thinking at all. One minute he was looking down at a short Kara, and the next thing he know his fist is shooting out at her face. Alec knows as soon as he pushes his first forward she's too fast. All that demon blood makes her so speedy she's able to dodge out of the way, spin around behind Alec, and yank a blade out of her thigh sheath and place the tip on the front of his neck.

Alec couldn't help but feel a sense of déjà vu remembering how Ben had held a blade similar to this at his throat also. Kara's arm curved up from behind him, as she stood up on her toes to get the blade even with Alec's neck.

"Don't. Ever. Try. To. Hurt. Me. Again." She hissed, her voice floating around Alec and haunting his thoughts. He was blinded by anger, anger at Kara for blackmailing Magnus, and angry at himself for being so careless to be captured by two thirteen year olds. Stupid.

He spun out from underneath her arm and bolted for the door. Alec prayed it was open. It wasn't. He yanked at the handle, hoping it would magically open. Then Kara was behind him again, one blade dangerously pointed at a vein in the side of his neck.

"Why are you doing this?" Alec whispered.

"I'm only continuing my father's dream and purifying the shadowhunter race." Alec could almost hear Kara smile a sickly sweet smile from behind him. He wanted to run again, but he knew he was stuck.

Alec also wanted to tell Kara how Sebastian had died, a man sorry for what he'd done. He had been consumed by the demon blood all this time. He opened is mouth to speak, but Kara spoke first.

"The warlock will be here soon, and I need you unconscious so you won't cause any trouble."

"Wha-"

Alec was cut off as she whipped out another blade, and hit him in the side of the head with it. Alec crumpled to the ground, wishing he had just listened to Magnus that night he cheated on him. Then he wouldn't be here struggling to escape, and failing.
