me and that boy

The intro

One morning my parents insisted on eating breakfast together, because they have something to tell me ... that was kind of weird, I hadn't eaten breakfast together in a while. I have a regular family, my parents get along well, run a successful business together, and I get pretty good grades in high school. I don't know why they insisted on having breakfast together.

Anyway, let me introduce myself, I am a 19-year-old girl, with curly brown hair, brown eyes and an attitude as big as me, as my mother says. I live alone in my apartment and I'm at River High School with my girls friends: Emma a girl with blond hair and blue eyes (perfect girl) is pretty and learns well, Madison a girl with black long hair and brown eyes (the rebellious girl) looks good  and she's crazy in a good way, Molly a girl with short brown hair and brown eyes, a smart girl, but who also looks very good. And my guys friends: Thom a boy with short blond hair and brown eyes (the player) and Jeremy a boy with short black hair and blue eyes (the athlete). They are the most wanted boys in high school, and they are my best friends.

I was at the table with them, I was eating breakfast, it was a strange silence when, suddenly, my mother broke the silence and said:

   -Do you have a boyfriend?

    -No, why?

    -Good, because you are marrying the son of a friend of ours, his father runs a successful business that he plans to leave to his son. We owe a big favor to his father and he wants you to marry his son to pay our debt.

    -I will not marry a stranger, I am an adult I can make my own decisions, I don't need you to arrange my marriage

   I got up from the table with a rage I can't express in words, I took my backpack and slammed the door. Thom was in front of my house in the car, waiting for me as usual to go to school. I got in the car:

-Let's go!

-What happened? why are you upset?

-Just let's go

-We're not leaving until you tell me why you're upset

-I had a fight with my parents

-Why?

-They want me to marry the son of a friend of theirs, whom I don't even know, just because they owe him a pretty big favor, so I told them no.

-I'm not saying you have to do it, but yours wouldn't tell you to do it if they had another option, you thought it could ruin their business and you'll end up on the street because you said no.

After he said that we left, he usually didn't talk like that but what he said was a bit true. On the way to high school I didn't say anything. When we got to high school we saw Emma, Madison, Molly and Jeremy we said hello to each other and then we went to our classes.

The day passed quite easily, when I arrived in front of the door of my apartment I remembered the discussion i have this morning with my parents then I opened the door and entered . I see my parents. They were sitting at the table in my apartament waiting for me:

-How was your day?

-As if you care and what are you doing here?

-Roxy, I know you're mad at us, but we're doing it for your own good, my mother said.

-If you don't marry him, his father will make sure you can't find a job, my father said worriedly.

-You did not answer my question.

-We will take you to your grandparents to stay and think and in two days you will meet him and his family and you will move with him to the apartment. Go and pack we don't leave until we see that you have packed your bags, just get your clothes.

-You can't force me I'm a major.

-They will kill you and us if you do not accept, they are dangerous, said my mother in tears.

-Fine. I said, heading for my room to gather my clothes.   After I packed my clothes I left taking Shiro with me (I forgot to tell you that I have a white akita inu one year old).

I reached my grandparents, greeted them and went to my room to make an escape plan without anyone suffering because of my decisions.
