In the Imperial Capital of the Empire, the senate was in progress as men talked about this new army that has arrived in their world. Marquis Casel walked towards the center and spoke.

"It was a catastrophe, my emperor. An astonishing 60 percent of the Empire's forces is now gone. How do you suggest we handle this situation? How do you intend to lead the nation, my emperor?"

Around the room, the senate was in disbelief that that much of their army was lost in a single battle. In front was Emperor Molt who responded.

"Marquis Casel, I sympathize with your feelings. The Empire's Military advantage has indeed been lost due to this battle. Foreign nations and nobility loyal to our nation could join forces and turn against the capital. Is this your concern? Pathetic."

As Molt looks at him with disappointment. He continued.

"In every crisis, the Emperor, Senate, and people of the Empire united against the problem. Each time, we have grown from it. Not every single battle can be won. I will not hold anyone responsible for this battle. I'd hate to think that some of you would waste their time with silly games while foreign forces close in on the Imperial Capital."

In Casel's mind, he cannot believe that his emperor would completely overlook his own responsibility. One of the senators who has seen better days walked up behind him to add to the conversation.

"But what is your plan? The army we sent was wiped out in only two days! Moreover, the Gate was overtaken and the enemy is intruding on our world! Of course, we set out to retake the hill. Yet the enemy attacked from afar! I have never seen such sorcery!"

Another senator soon stood up from his seat and spoke.

"We must fight! If there aren't enough troops, we must recruit them from our vassal nations! Then we strike again from the other side of the gate!"

On the other side, another senator stood up to rebuke his idea.

"How will using force help us?"

"Godasen's mistake will be repeated!"

The room was soon filled with the sound of opinions, coming from everyone, on what they should do. Emperor Molt raised his hands and soon the room was silent. He spoke.

"I do not wish to sit back and watch the situation worsen. Fighting is our only choice. Send messengers to the vassal nations and neighboring countries. Inform them that enemies are invading our lands and we request backup. We will rally Godu, Rino, Gwaban, the Allied Kingdoms' Armed Forces, and we will charge on Alnus Hill!"

Everyone in the senate applauded as Marquis Casel walked up to the bottom of the stairs to Emperor Molt's seat

"Your majesty it will be a bloodbath."

Emperor Molt just smirked.

A few weeks has passed, near the top of a hill, King Duran of Elbe watches his army march.

Elbe Soldier: Your Majesty! We have spotted what appears to be enemy scouts, two hills ahead!

Duran: Leave them be we, hurry to meet the other kings!

In the afternoon, the kings from the other kingdoms discuss of their plans. One of them asked on where the Imperial Army's commander is. The messenger replied, "Our Imperial Army is facing the enemy on Alnus Hill as we speak. The commander leaving his troops is unthinkable." The kings soon bickered on who should be first to attack the hill tomorrow. In the end, they were all in an agreement that they will all gather at Alnus Hill tomorrow.

As the sun rose, the armies of Alguna, Mudwan and Ligu approached the hill first. However, they didn't see the Imperial Army which left them confused and concerned. In the forest, an M60 Clark and its crew observed as the army advances into their kill zone. Back at base of the USR, the radio crackles to life.

Crewmember: Station, this is armored recon 2 request fire mission on the entire kill zone with those new rocket artillery trucks you guys brought in.

In a matter of seconds, the rocket artillery landed on the unexpected army and all were wiped out. The crew of the M60 could not help but be impressed by the destruction.

Crewmember: You guys created one hell of a fireworks show. Good hits on targets, no sign of movement, out.

King Duran heard the explosions and wondered if the hill is erupting. When he arrived where the eruptions came from, he was faced with a field filled with dead soldiers.

"Where are the rest of the kings?" He asked himself.

On their second attempt, they came under artillery and tank fire as the anti-air shot down any wyvern in the airspace. At the end of the day, the Allied kingdoms lost 50,000 troops. Those who are still alive pondered on what the Imperial Army is doing and what to do.

King Duran has an idea. A night raid is possible, for tonight is a new moon. In the darkness, it is possible for him and his men to make it to the other side of the hill as they ambush the enemy. All was going to plan until the night sky lit up as bright as day. He knew that his plans have failed and soon rode forward telling his troops to attack and run. Tank fire soon tore through several of their ranks as he kept telling his men to attack and to follow him. He reached a wall of barbwire where his horse threw him off; his men tried to rescue him. He shouted.

"Run! Everyone, run!"

Rifle, machine gun, tank and artillery fire opened up on them killing all of his men. He picked up a bow and fired an arrow cursing them. But in the end, it was all in vain as an artillery shell landed next to him, and just like that, the battle was over. As the sun rose, four USR soldiers can be seen walking through the battlefield.

Soldier 1: Jesus, what the hell is that smell?

Soldier 2: The corpses and white phosphorus mixed with it.

Soldier 1: Did they really need to use that?

Soldier 2: Well they had a surplus so, yes.

Soldier 1: How many died last night?

Soldier 2: 60,000

As the two soldiers kept walking, they could not help but wonder on what kind of nation they were up against.

Soldier 3: Hey dude, how much do you think I can sell these?

He says while holding up a piece of the Roman's armor.

Soldier 4: I guess 35k USD for all of the armor left. You can finally buy a new rifle, or fix that one.

Soldier 1: Come on you guys, the quicker we do this patrol, the longer you guys can rest and count your money. Lets go, Davai.

The soldiers soon went along while trying to pick up any valuable along the way.

-A bloody day
