After my first day of classes flies by, I head to my dorm. Much to my satisfaction, it's empty. I decide to complete the little amount of work I was given to ensure that I won't be behind.
As I am caught up in a book, my door flies open. Luke.
"We need to talk" he states his tone serious.
"O-Okay" I stammer.
"That kiss. Yesterday? It doesn't mean shit. I uhhh, I was wasted" he says. I could've sworn he doesn't drink, he's probably just making up excuses, so I decide to challenge him on it.
"Wasted, huh? I didn't know you could get drunk on water?" I smirk.
"Fuck, Kylie..." he warns.
"Well, tell me the truth. I deserve to know, after all, you came up to me while I was half dressed, practically made out with me, then just left."
"No. I mean whatever. It doesn't matter. I kiss a lot of girls, don't think you're anything special." ouch. "Bye Kylie." he slams the door. I'm shocked he actually called me by my real name.
Before I can fully process what just happened, Megan comes into our room.
"Hey girl!" she greets with a big smile, along with a hug.
"Hey" I reply and return the hug.
"I just saw Luke coming from our dorm. What happened? he seemed a little frantic."
"Really?" I ask and she nods her head. Why is he like that? Getting mad over him kissing me? He's so confusing, frustrating, annoying and so many other things. But for some reason, I can't seem to shake him from my mind.
"Well, uh, last night, when he drive me back, he came into our dorm. I told him to turn around while I changed into my pajamas, but he didn't exactly listen. He came over and he kissed me. Hard. Then walked out." I decided to leave out the part of me being half naked, that's private.
"Woah woah woah, back up. He kissed you?" she asked in a shocking tone.
"Um yeah" I shrug.
"Wow. Luke never kisses anyone, hooks up with girls, anything like that. Ever. Well, not after..." she shuts her mouth before she can finish.
"After what?" I question.
"I'm sorry Ky. I really am. but I can't tell you. That's Luke's business to share. But since he kissed you, I can imagine he'll tell you soon."
"um okay..." I say and change into my pajamas. After taking all my makeup off, I crawl into bed and text my best friend, Anna, from back home.
We talk about classes, hers started today too. She tells me about this cute boy who sits ahead of her in literature and about how amazing her apartment is. I'm happy for her and I know she'll be successful, I'm just bummed I won't be able to see her for a while. She's the only friend of mine I can really open up to. We joke about stupid things, as usual. After a while, we exchange our good nights and I check the time. It's 12:13, so I decide to turn off my phone and get some sleep. I'm going to need to be well rested if I plan on questioning Luke tomorrow.
