"Um no sorry I meant that I missed being around kind people like you," Kim tried to save her slip up hoping he would drop it.

"Then you must not be around many gentlemen then huh? I wouldn't let a lady walk home when it's about to storm."

"There. That's my house." Kim pointed to a big light yellow home. When she was 3 the house was built. She insisted on a yellow home and of course she got her way.

Vincent turned into her large driveway and hopped out of his seat. By now the clouds have gotten darker and he could feel tiny droplets of water dropping on his face. He ran to her side quickly and opened her car door, which is what his father had always done for his mother.

Kimberly stepped out of the car and admired it not knowing if she would wake up from this great dream soon.  She turned to Vincent and gave him the tightest bear hug. He reluctantly hugged her back confused but secretly was very excited.

"Thank you so much for the ride!" Kim beamed

"No need to thank me I'm glad I got to meet you." He began to walk back to his side of the car.

"Have a goodnight" Kim  said loudly as she walked to her front door.

"Hey wait Kimberly would you like to get dinner with me tomorrow?" Vince bursted out afraid of rejection.

"Oh of course I'd love to." A tear slipped from her eye. A tear of happiness. She was far enough from him for him to not notice  and it could have easily been played off as rain.

"Can I pick you up at 7?"

"Yes that's great." She waves at him as he hopped into his car. He waved back and watched as she went into his house. He was the luckiest man in the world he thought.
