Chapter 23: Final Masquerade

~~~Recap~~~ 

He didn't stop there. "This is so you won't try and run away again. I'm getting tired of you kid."  He swung at my leg and hit it in one swing. My bones cracked and I screamed louder in agony. Sai dragged me back to the wall I was chained on and chained me again. I screamed as he moved my arm into the chains. I cried. I have never in my life felt this much pain. Not even when Minato abused me.

I just decided to give up. I gave up on anything. I gave up on everything. I gave up on living. I gave up on love. I even gave up on seeing Sasuke.

I just.........gave up.

~~~Present~~~4 days Later~~~Naruto POV~~~ 

 I hang on the wall as I stayed chained sweating in agony. It's been a week.. maybe longer since I was kidnapped. I remembered I decided to give up. I want to leave this place. I wish I was in Sasuke's hold. His arms around me and I snuggle with him. Better yet, I wish I could be free of all pain and suffering as of this moment.

I slump a little bit as my head tilts on my shoulders. I can't fight the urge to just close my eyes and drift off to an everlasting sleep. As I was about to lose my conscious, one of the guys, most likely Jace, had dumped a bucket of freezing cold water onto me. As I watch the water run off of me, it changes color due to the loss of blood I had. I close my eyes and fall into an endless sleep. Or.... at least that's what I wanted.

~~~Sasuke POV~~~ -Outside of the warehouse-

  I stand outside of the warehouse where Naruto is suspected to be with Itachi, Deidara, Kiba, and Shikamaru. As I look at the building, I see only one door and I start to walk noticing that there are no guards guarding the door. 'Everyone must be inside then' I think to myself. As I walk towards the door I hear a few voices talking and laughing. I look behind me to find everyone following me. I put my ear to the door and listen intently.

"Hahaha I wonder how long that kids gonna hold out with all we done to him?" 

"I don't know man *laughs* He's lasted this long.. It's been about a week since he was brought here. I'm surprised he isn't dead yet.." After I heard that, I burst into the door rage flowing through my body.

 They jumped up into a fighting stance and look at me. The guys surrounded them and I looked around for Naruto. I was blinded by so much rage and worry I almost didn't notice him hanging from a wall. As I was about to run to him, I hear hand claps coming from his direction. I look and see Sai smirking and walking towards me. 

~~~My POV~~~ 

Sai comes from Naruto's direction clapping his hands and smirking as he walked towards Sasuke. He stops mid way and stands next to Naruto. He placed his hand on Naruto's side and traced his body down to the gashes in his side. Sasuke was boiling with rage.

 "Hmm Sasuke.. I think he needs a doctor." Sai said with a lot of sarcasm and a small grin looking Sasuke in the eyes.

Sasuke couldn't find the words to describe how angry he felt right now. He was boiling with rage. He wanted to destroy Sai. He wanted to KILL him. Sai pulled out a knife as he traced it down his body making small cuts across the blondes body. 

At some point Sasuke couldn't control his anger neither did he want to but he had to for Naruto. He let it burst and he ran towards Sai pulling out his kitana and swinging at Sai trying to cut him down. Sai had one of his own and fought back. As they fought sword to sword, Tak and Jace launched at Itachi and Shikamaru. 

They fought and dodged any and every hit possible. Shikamaru and Itachi had no trouble with the two and easily knocked them out in no time. While they were handling Tak and Jace, Kiba and Deidara ran over to Naruto.

Naruto lay hanging from the chains stiff with closed eyes. Since Deidara was a bit taller than Kiba, he was the one to unhook the chains from the wall while Kiba helped lay him on the cold hard floor. Naruto lay limp as they took his hands from the chains being very careful with him. Kiba had free tears running down his face as he looked over his best friends body, seeing it covered in blood and bruises.

Deidara put his ear to his chest and listened for a heartbeat. He started to panic when he couldn't find one. So he went for his wrist and put two fingers there holding tight but not too tight. He still didn't find one. He looked at Kiba with teary eyes and put two fingers on an area on his neck. 

Deidara didn't know what to do. Was Naruto dead? Did they get there to late? What will Sasuke do? 

'Naruto.... please don't do this to me....' Deidara thought

 "C'mon Naruto... I need a fucking heart beat"
