Walks Of Life #001

At some point, people get tired of meeting people because of how things have been in the past or present. Sometimes you just get tired of the 'see finish' but you don't give up regardless. This happened to be the story of a lady, called Gwen. She was the only child of her parents, she wasn't pampered like people thought. Her home training was deep but she gave off an aura that made people think she was spoilt. Only her family knew what she was capable of and of course, the lovers she entertained in the past. 

Gwen wore her heart on her sleeves and most of the time, she got dumped. Some were her fault and the rest could be the universe saving her and at the same time teaching her how to be strong. 

For someone that always had bad relationships, you'd think she would calm down and focus on other things like her work or family but she kept trying like someone that had been pressured to get married as soon as possible. In one of her numerous tales of love, was Mike. Oh! how beautiful their love was. It was as beautiful as Gwen made it seem. She had to stomach a lot of bad doings from her partner, that's love isn't it?! Gwen had a beautiful body but for some reason, she still felt insecure about it. I mean she had a lot of insecurities and felt like those relationships were her coping mechanism. She wasn't the type to follow the trends or doll all up... She was the homebody type if you put it that way. 

  One night, Mike came home with a huge frown on his face. You'd think he was sacked, lost his money or maybe his house was untidy but it was none of that. The sight of Gwen's friend put him off. He had a thing for her and it was his fantasy to have a threesome with her and Gwen. Gwen would never consent to that. So fast forward to months later when he met Gwen's friend at a club with another girl and he mentioned his fantasy to her...to his utmost surprise, she agreed to it. So much more for friendship uh!

  Mike was so tipsy that he had to bring the 'fun' to his house and that's where everything went South. Gwen came to collect some paperwork that she left at his place, she was about to leave when she heard some sounds and as a curious cat, she saw her supposed man with her friend and another female. She was transfixed for a moment there, instead of going away, she went straight to pack her belongings. Her friend tried to apologise but Mike stopped her saying "Let Gwen go, she's not worth it all, see the way she lives her life like nothing bothers her! She's so laid-back about everything so just let her be, I'm done!" 

  Dear Gwen turned and smiled at him. Was she broken-hearted? Definitely she was shattered into pieces but words weren't enough for her to express herself so she left in silence. 

  Days on end, she kept drinking in her room which was her sanctuary. This relationship was different from the rest of them. She became distant and buried herself at work. Her parents feared for her but they knew she would be fine. Nothing seemed to cheer her up except her favorite cartoons and food. At some point she blamed herself for not trying to look good for her partner but she did her best in her own little way. I guess as humans, we aren't really satiable. Her life seemed bleak until a year later when a man walked into her life, they met at a conference. She wasn't interested in the romance after he asked her out. She just wanted to get laid but he wanted more. She felt overwhelmed because it was the first time ever someone turned down free sex. I mean, who does that?!  

 She was scared about letting someone in again, into her space and everything concerning her. She took a break from work and decided to travel for a breather. Her emotions were driving her crazy and a little change of scenery wouldn't hurt right?

She spent days writing and taking pictures of the wonders of Earth, she was a lover of nature. After a long day, she walked down to a beach close to her hotel... Just to enjoy the cool breeze and watch people. She picked a nice spot and brought out her headphones, she was about to play her favorite jam when she heard him saying " I've searched everywhere for you but hiding doesn't solve anything, I'm here to stay 'cause I know that you're meant for me. I know your story now and I won't make you a promise but instead I'd show you that promise everyday of my life if you can just say Yes to me Gwen. You've been treated bad by boys but I'd like to show those boys that you are a Queen and they missed out on you.''  Gwen's tears that evening was a mixture of pain and happiness. She's been trying to run away from Nick and all that emotions but the universe brought him to her again. Of course they started dating but it took her awhile before she felt relaxed in her relationship. She was always anticipating a breakup but Nick kept loving her. Her insecurities, feelings, everything about her was appreciated by him. Nick became her peace.
