CHAPTER FIVE: The Meeting

"Alyx, where'd you disappear to?" Lee asked as Connor opened his mouth, probably to ask the same thing. I took the longer route and passed by the strawberry field to watch the waves smooth out and the wind come to a nice, slow breeze. I landed back at the arena once I heard shouting and found Katie laying into Travis while he laughed at her bright purple hair, that, of course, he messed with this morning.

Which was the scream I heard this morning, while Travis and Connor ran for their lives.

I chuckled as Connor glared at Lee, "I went to talk to Chiron, he'll call a meeting later on this afternoon to explain everything, while on that topic, explain to me a little more about how things work here."

I told him and he smiled and began talking first about Apollo, which then turned into an argument between Connor and Lee about who is the best. Then agreed that their parents were just the worst. I rolled my eyes and chuckled as Lee continued telling me everything that happened in the past four years. As we walked to the infirmary.

Percy Jackson, gave Zeus' lightning bolt back, saved the camp and brought Thalia back to life, something to do with Atlan and two deaths, a boy, Nico, disappeared and left a crack in the pavilion, they still don't know which parent he had, but hopefully they find him, and this year, Dionysus left, more monsters are appearing, and the gods don't answer to their prayers as much, not that they ever did before, but even less now.

"And we love Percy, he's just as mischievous as us, plus him and Annabeth are meant to go on a date in a couple days'," a date? Like the calendar where you mark a date? I looked at Connor confused, "what is a date?" I asked.

"Well, you know, when you like someone and you ask them out," I scrunched my face up and then smiled, "oh! You mean courting!" I exclaimed and clapped my hands, but stopped when they both looked at me like I was crazy.

"Courting is for old people, Alyx! It's dating, asking someone out, making out, then sometimes breaking up." Connor said sighing as he stared ahead and Lee looked at him strangely.

"I've never really dated anyone," Lee shrugged and I looked at him, "really? Why not?" I asked and Connor's ears basically perked up at this.

I looked at him from behind Lee's back and wiggled my eyebrows, his eyes widened and his face flamed and he pretended like it was sweat.

"Don't know, just when I date, I want to date the right person. Us demi-gods don't really get many chances." Lee explained and shrugged, Connors' shoulders slumped and I nodded, "waiting is always good, especially if it means you'll end up with the right person." I said softly and looked to the sky as I sighed wistfully.

"Hey Lee! You go on ahead, Alyx needs to help me with something!" Lee frowned and opened his mouth, but I was being dragged away by Connor before you could say anything. I looked at him and made a face and shrugged, I was going along with it.

Connor threw me up against a tree and glared at me, "ouch!" I rubbed the back of my head, he pointed a scrawny finger at me, "what was that?" he said.

I looked at with wide eyes, "what was what?" I asked innocently, his eyes turned to slits and he pounced, I moved out the way so he hit the tree instead and ran for it.

I screamed as he chased me, I was dodging and weaving, I saw Malcolm and ran for him, "Pace! Catch me!" I yelled just as I jumped. I felt hands grab me, but then a war cry sounded and we went tumbling down.

I heard Malcolm groan and Connor grabbed me, I screeched as he started pulling me, "Pace! Help me!" I said and yelled and tried grabbed the grass, but it slipped through my fingers.

Connor turned me over to my back and straddled me, "how do you know?" he yelled and I covered my mouth and closed my eyes, he's very obvious about it, I'm sure even his brother knows. "Ah! Malcolm get off me! Let me at her!" I peeked my eyes open and laughed as Malcolm basically had him pinned to the ground.
