Humanity Off

I stare at my wall. I don't feel anything. I don't care about anything. It worked! I feel numb, but the pain is gone. I just needed the pain to be pain. I get numerous amount of calls from Elena, Bonnie, Tyler, Matt and even the Salvatore brothers. They want to see if I'm okay. But I don't care... not anymore. And of course I ignore them all. INFACT...I take my phone and THROW it out the window...
After all, I don't want to talk to anyone. So what's the point.

The next day, it's school. I think about going but then I think, what's the rush. It's not going anyway. It'll still be boring whenever I decide to arrive.
3 hours later, it's 1pm and I arrive at school. There was no rush to get to school and I even manage to go shopping. I found this cute jacket which is to die for. Elena would be jealous! I enter the classroom and Elena, Stefan, Bonnie, Matt, Tyler, Liv and the rest of the class stare at me.
"What? You look like you've seen a ghost," I say cheekily.
I take my seat putting my feet up against my table. I put some strawberry gum in my mouth and sit quietly.
"Care, you feeling okay?" Matt whispers.
"Never better, Matty," I reply with a wicked grin flashing my perfect white teeth.
Class drones on for an hour and then the bell goes. I get up and strut outside. The others chase behind me.
"Caroline?" Elena says running towards me, I ignore her.
"CAROLINE," Stefan yells.
Quickly getting irritated I turn around.
"what!?" I say calmly yet bitterly .
"What's up with you? Elena says.
"Don't you have two Salvatores to torture? Whose your fav today, hmm? The sweet Stefan or the Divine Damon, oh... and I do mean DIVINE, after all, I would know..." I snarked.
"How could you say that?" Elena replies.
"And you." I say and turned to Tyler.
"How's lil Miss Thang!" I laugh.
"Your still mad..."
"On the contrary former babe, you see, poor lil old me was filled with distraught when I found out you were a lying, manipulative man whore. Actually your nothing like a man, a pig more like, but then I got home, and I just... didn't care anymore. Whatever lingering feelings I had for you," I begin walking towards Tyler so close that he can almost feel my breath on his skin .
"Are gone!" I say backing away with a nasty grin.
Then Stefan analyses me.
"Wait... Caroline... did you, turn it off?" Stefan asks.
"Oh look, he's beauty AND brains! What do you want now, a medal? Though I'd suppose you prefer... ELENA? Oh wait, I don't care!" I snap.
"Caroline, don't be so bitchy, what's gotten into you!" Bonnie says.
" I don't take orders from you, sorry not sorry, Bon." I say.
"Wait! Why did you turn it off?" Matt asks.
"Oh, ask your buddy Ty. I'm sure he'd LOVE to tell you about it," I say folding my arms staring at Tyler.
"I- I was with Liv yesterday at the grill,"
"So?" Bonnie questions.
"No.... WITH Liv. Caroline saw us kiss." He added.
"That's right! And Oh, do continue. Tell them how after you swore there was nothing going on between you two, yet I found u kissing the bitch at the grill. Tell them how I told you I loved you and you just got back in your pretty- boy car, and drove off. Tell them how you broke my heart and made me feel so alone," I say and then laugh.
"It's simple really. Your nothing but a pathetic dog!" I add, content with myself.
"Tyler? How could you?" Elena says.
He looks down at the floor ashamed.
I grin at Tyler and vamp off to the woods. I need to go for a run anywhere. I feel free. It's exhilarating. Not having a care in the world. I should switched humanity off ages ago. But just as Im enjoying the world without caring, Stefan injects me with vervain...

I wake up, I don't know how long I've been out for. Judging but the time I'd say it's around 9pm.
"Okay carebare, I've heard you've been a very naughty girl! So why don't you do us a favour and switch that little humanity switch back on so you can all go home, hmm?" Damon says through bars on my door. The Salvatores have locked me in their  cellar.
"Rot in hell, Damon," I growl.
"No no no no did I meant NO! Wrong answer Care- bear. Oh well, I tried," and he walks out.
I'm starving, I need to go home. I want to get out. I can hear them talking about me downstairs.
"She can hear us," Stefan says.
"Yes I cannnn," I yell.
"We have to do something," Matt says.
"She needs her humanity back!" Bonnie says.
"She'll have to switch it back on, she's just hurt, let me try to talk to her," Tyler volunteers.
"Don't you think you've done enough?" Elena snaps at him.
Finally she says something that isn't about herself, God! How self centred can she be. But she's right, he's said way to much.
"No! Actually he's right! Tyler being a jerk is exactly why she switched it off. If they make amends, maybe she'll switch it back on. But Tyler I swear to God if you mess this up...." Bonnie says.
"Yeah! I'll talk to her," he says and starts walking up the stairs.
I think for a moment, this gives me a wicked idea....
Moments later I hear footsteps at my door.
"Care?" Tyler says.
"What is it Tyler?" I reply.
"I'm so sorry about what happened, all of it. It was stupid, I didn't see the girl I already had was amazing for me. As for Liv, we were messing around, it was never as serious as we were and -," he replies but I cut him off.
"You expect me to have a conversation with you through bars!" I glare at him turning around.
"No, no! Of course not. He says unlocking the door and coming in, leaving it shut but not locked.
But I'm not done.
"We had a really good thing, Tyler why would you ruin it," I state.
"Because I'm an idiot, if I had known better I would have been faithful to you. I love you too, Caroline. I was scared to say it before but not anymore. Caroline, I love you, and we are meant to be together" he exclaims.
I stare at him, I can see in his eyes his words are true. Whatever happened between him and Liv, looking at him now I can tell he's sorry. He did love me after all.
I walk towards him and pull him I'm for a kiss. He finally said it. He's apology was so kind and so sweet. That's all I wanted to hear. He loved me after all. I pull him into a hug my arms thrown over his neck.
"Your right..." I begin whispering into his ear.
Then I punch him twice in the stomach and kick him in his leg into the corner.
"You ARE stupid," I say, before vamping out of the cellar.
I was finally able to escape. Tyler's words may have been sweet but they meant nothing to me, he wasted his breath. What poor use to a good speech,. He's so pathetic. To come crawling back to me... oh please.
I happily toss the thought of Tyler in my head and it is replaced with something else.
My Hunger. I'm starving. I haven't eaten in a few hours. Anymore time in that grungy cellar of there's and I might have started to desiccate. I laugh at the thought. I decide to make a quick trip to the hospital for a blood bag when.
"UGHH! Ouch! Excuse you!" I gasp as some boy bumps into me.
"Watch it, princess," he replies.
I raise my eyebrow in disbelieve. He has the audacity to talk to me like that. Umm... I don't think so.
I smile sourly. How cute, this boy thinks he can bump into me and get away with it. Some people are so daft.
"What's your name, clutz?" I ask.
"Caleb,why?" He answers.
"Well Caleb, do you know what they say about payback?" I question wrapping my arms around his precious human neck.
"No?" He replies as he puts his hands on my waist leaning in towards me.
Then I whisper..."They say Paybacks a bitch!"
And with that I hiss and sink my teeth into his neck for a nice

BITE!
