Going to the park wasn't one of Evan's favorite activities. Definitely wasn't something he enjoyed doing, gave him a lot of bad memories.

But he knew that nobody was ever near there, and right now, he needed something normal, so the park? The lonesome park with no one switched around, where everything's normal because it's lonely?

That's exactly what Evan needed.

So he went there.

The sun was about to set behind the trees, no clouds were in the sky, giving a clear view of the blue.

Evan walked through some of the grass; grass he knew very well, as he used to walk through it everyday all summer.

An apprentice park ranger! Kind of a tree expert now, not to brag or anything.

He sighed, noticing a bench near some trees, so he walked over to it and sat down. It creaked a little as he did, which was the only noise in the wide area. Evan could've sworn he heard it echo.

"Why did I even say that to Connor. I'm such an idiot," Evan mumbled. "I had no right to do that."

He covered his face with his hands, feeling a couple of tears fall down his face. He shook his head, his eyes closed. "Even after all of this, I'm still a massive fuck up."

A few moments of silence passed, excluding the sound of his crying. Could anyone see that he was trying? It was hard to be complying when everything was unsatisfying. It was horrifying, not unifying, and everything needed clarifying, so anyone who's spying, can you see that he's trying?

Evan, hey, Evan-

"I told you to leave me alone!" Evan yelled, feeling even more tears come to his eyes. "I can't deal with this anymore! All of my friends are back home, which is in another fucking dimension! Hell, they probably wouldn't even want to talk to me because I was a massive bitch to all of them!"

Evan-

"I said stop! Please!" Evan's voice cracked. His shouts were practically cries for help. All of this was stressful, way too stressful, and he couldn't deal with it anymore. "I'm done with having the only connection to myself- my world- my home- being fucking spirits! You know, I think I'd be a lot better off if everything wasn't just in my fucking head! Maybe you wouldn't understand that, I mean hell, last time I checked, you guys were jealous that I could impact the world right now! That I could do something! Well, I'm really sorry to be the one to inform you this, but that wish is such a fucking lie! Because maybe, if the roles were reversed, nothing would be wrong anymore!"

"Evan!"

Evan wiped the tears off of his face, looking up to see... well, someone he definitely wasn't expecting. "J-Jared?"

"What's going on with you? Are you okay?"

Evan shook his head. This had to be the alternate, right? "I- tell me something only you would say. Please-"

Jared glanced at him with confusion. "Uh, I don't know, what do you want to hear, acorn?"

"I- I don't know."

Jared sighed, sitting down next to him on the bench. "I know about the dimensions, but I honestly have no clue what this one is like excluding the fact that my alternate is like Connor, so uh..." He placed his hand on Evan's leg, glancing over at him. "You were a massive bitch before this entire time travel thing happened, but we need to figure this all out so our dimensions don't die."

Evan nodded, but then he realized something.

Jared wasn't a spirit. He could feel his hand.
