"What the hell is this?" Ace asked, walking out into the grass. "Is that supposed to be here?"

Alex scratched his head. "We're in the sky, but the brochure said nothing about that. It said we could head back to the ground at any time."

We made our way over to the wall. We all gazed up at it, and Hammer gave it a few taps. "It looks like glass, but it's not. It feels stronger. How strange," he said, turning to us. "Perhaps they just didn't feel the need to advertise it?"

"Or maybe," a voice called out. "They want to keep us in." We turned, and saw a short haired girl making her way over to us. "Face it boys, it's safe to say we aren't going anywhere."

I swear she looked familiar, but off. I'm not sure how to describe it. "And who are you, exactly?" I asked.

"Basically, I'm kind of a big deal. Makoto Naegi, Ultimate Hope. Future Foundation, you've probably heard of me. Try not to be starstruck." She walked right up to us, and leaned on me. I shoved her off, backing away.

"Makoto Naegi, really?" I adjusted my helmet. "You look different from when I saw you on the news."

She smiled, and folded her arms. "I'm sure you're just misremembering. Shut the hell up, you don't know what you're talking about."

"I am getting sick of all this fighting!" Hammer proclaimed, placing himself at the center of our little group. "We have not even made it to the lecture hall yet and you all are acting like children! We are ultimates!"

We all fell silent as Super Hammer took control of the situation. "We're going to the lecture hall, citizens. I will hear no more of this fighting." No one had a thing to say to him, so we followed his lead to the main building. I'm really starting to get sick of this guy. He really believes all of his hero bullshit.

We entered the main hall, and found it to be in great condition. It was nothing short of beautiful. However, something seemed off. No one was in sight. "Stay behind me, citizens!" Hammer proclaimed, taking a defensive position. "This room seems off."

We all quickly moved past him, ignoring his warning. "It's a school, dude." I said, shrugging. "You're flipping out over nothing." As we headed down the long hallway in front of us, Hammer ran over to keep up. We turned the corner, and saw a large doorway at the end of the hall. In front of it was a pink haired girl about to walk in. Her arm shined a bright silver, and I recognized her almost instantly.

"Hana? Is that you?" I asked. She jumped, and turned around. She ran over to me, and tilted her head.

"You're, uh, who are you again? Gimme a quick remind."

I sighed. "Daisuke. I'm Daisuke Okazaki, remember?"

Her face lit up. "Oka-tan, it's you! Look at you! It's been a while, huh?"

"Yeah, I guess," I said, rolling my eyes. "Haven't seen you since the accident."

She laughed, and pointed at her arm. "Yeah, yeah! That's where I got this neat arm. You must have seen it in the papers, right?"

"Yeah, that's why you're the Ultimate Robotics Engineer, huh?"

She nodded. "Yup! Anyway, It's really nice to see you. Looks like you've made your own friends, huh. Hopefully you didn't forget about me, Oka-taaaaan."

I decided to not remind her that she bullied the hell out of me before her accident. She seemed happier now, I guess. I remember, that's all that matters. "Just met them here, actually."

"Move it, lovebirds!" Makoto shouted, pushing past us. "I wanna get this over with." She threw open the doors, and made her way inside. I shrugged, and followed her.

We made our way inside, and spotted some empty seats. It looked like everybody else was here. "Guess we overslept, huh?" I joked, sitting down next to a girl in a tactical vest. She glanced over at me, before returning her gaze to the podium at the front. "Heh, tough crowd, eh?" I said, to no one in particular.

The lights in the room then dimmed, and the speakers began blaring. "Alright, that's everybody! It's showtime, you bums!"

The doors behind the stage opened, and a small, fancy car drove in. A bear sat in the driver seat, his chain swinging as he did donuts on the stage. He then hopped over the door, running a paw along the brim of his fedora. He struggled to climb up onto the podium, and looked out at us.

"Well, here we are," he said, laughing to himself. "Let the orientation begin!"
