A/N This is my first Taekook story, please... idk what... please bear it... love ya!
"Jungkook... get up!"
"Fvive, mwore mins momsie.."
"Dad's coming home today."
"Oh... dawmn, I'm up...swee"
Jungkook stumbled to get out of the bed, as soon as possible, and in this process, knocked off the bedside table, leading to the tremendous fall of his alarm clock, personal diary and few bookmarks. He quickly opened the door to this huge mess, revealing his mom.
When his mom, ran her eyes over the entire room, quirking up her eyebrows, and sighing, he knew it wasn't exactly the best way to say good morning to her, but anyways...
"Goodie Mawning, Mom"
"Good Morning, Kookie... um... Clean up, freshen... and come downstairs... I'll drop you to the college soon... Okay?"
Jungkook nodded, making notes internally that this was perhaps not the best time to ask mom about money for the Annual Food Fiesta, maybe later...
He snapped out of his trance when he heard his mom shuffling downstairs, but that was not the reason for his breath hitching, and eyes becoming wide. It was the sound of his dad's car pulling up in their parking, and the opening of the main door that had him drenched in sweat, panting for air, dizzy in the head, and weak in his knees.
Jungkook stumbled backwards, hands reaching to close his bedroom door shakily, as he quickly ran about to assemble the things that had fallen moments ago.
16 years. It had been sixteen full years since they lived in this home. When they had moved here, it was just a barren lonely neighborhood, few convenience stores, very few shops, and even less people to be seen. But, it was nice. Nice, according to his mom, 'cause the weather was pleasant, and the locality was better. Nice, according to his dad, 'cause the office route was much more accessible, and it was better connected to the main town. Nice, according to Jungkook, 'cause ...... well....he was supposed to agree to his mom and dad.
Things were cool back then, he enjoyed going to school, and made a bunch of friends in the neighborhood park too. His dad used to be the best dad, used to take him out for walks, and ice cream treats, and his mom used to make him lots of good food at home, and play with him all day....but....
"Jungkook are you done?" His mother shouted from the living room downstairs.
"Yes mom, I'm jwust comin" Jungkook replied breaking his everyday nostalgia, while drying his hair, with the cute fluffy Avengers towel.
He rushed to get his backpack, and stuffed all important things in it. Notebooks, done. Sketchbook, done. Geometry box, done. Stationery kit, done. Everything's done.....
Wait... where is the art diary? He was supposed to lend it to Hoseok hyung today....He scrambled across the room to his study table and rummaged through the contents until his hands grabbed on the bright yellow cover of his art book.
After stuffing it too into his bag, he quickly put on his shoes, and ran downstairs.
"Aha! Look who's in a hurry!"
Jungkook's blood ran cold, at the mere sight of his "dad". He gulped, and counted to three in his mind, as Seokjin hyung had taught, before replying.
"Good Mawning Dad!" Fake enthusiasm dripped from his words, as he seemed to focus on the sofa behind his dad, to avoid any mistake.
"Morning, Jungkook, Are you in a hurry? Should I drop you off today?"
"N-N-No, Dad, you dwon't need to bwother, Mom's fwine doing ith"
His dad waved his hand dismissively and continued, "Oh, I'm doing it"
Jungkook knew this was it. THE END. It was the end of his seemingly enthusiastic day.
"Tokay, dad"
His dad grumbled, and motioned for him to move out towards the car, which was followed by the defeaning thump of the front door.
Few minutes of complete silence into the ride, and Jungkook knew. He knew it was the silence before the storm. He knew what was about to come, and hit him like a train. He kne-
"So, I heard there is this Annual Food Fiesta at the college in a few days?"
"Y-Yes, Dad"
"Dad?" The usual smirk, and cocking of eyebrows, suddenly clouded jungkook's mind, and he realized his grave mistake.
"S-S-Sworry... Master"
"Shut up, and Listen carefully, you are not going to any of those stupid festivals, or carnival or whatever it is." His dad's overpowering voice boomed in his ears, and reverberated in his insides.
Blinking back the urge to cry, Jungkook nodded, scared that he'll choke on his words, if he were to speak.
"Hmmm" Mr. Jeon exhaled, and dropped him in front of the gate.
Without another word, Jungkook opened the door and was about to exit the car when a strong grip on his wrist, made him almost fall back on the seat, and-
"Is this how you take leave from your master?" The evil smirk evident on his face.
"S.. s... Sworry Master, Thank you fwor the ride, I am indwebted."
"Then pay your debt tonight"
And throwing jungkook on the pavement the car sped off in the direction from which they had come.... Jungkook knew.... This was all too familiar.
Few months without this, didn't mean he could forget it all so easily.
