A/N: this was an assignment from my creative writitng class and i want to share it with you! :)

“Zoey, how dare you sleep in here, you should know by now that we do not sleep in school” Mrs. Wilis would yell at me. It was pretty much an everyday deal, I would sleep she would get mad and I would do this all over again. She taught Algebra, I didn’t like algebra or math in general. Where I flourished was in English. Everything about English is so fascinating. It was honestly the only class I didn’t feel like I was the biggest idiot there. Even if I was still an “A” student, I just felt I didn’t belong in a group of people trying to figure out the missing number.  Of course you had those who weren’t that smart and just fooled around all hour, but I’m not like them. “Well, give me a reason to why you’re sleeping?” she continued.

“Well, I guess it’s the sound that’s coming out of your mouth that’s causing me to have sleep deprivation-like symptoms.” I murmured in a low voice.

“Wait! Maybe she really didn’t mean to, she had a really rough night, so just give this to her” Joey Wilis, her cousin, yelled out in protest.

“I guess, Zoey you’re going to get off the hook for today anyways.” She sighed knowing that she had to give in. I let out a huge sigh and just sat there hope that she wouldn’t notice that I wasn’t paying much of attention.

The bell rang, I was finally happy to get out of that class; I hope that I never have to go into that class again. I knew hoping for something could have its benefits but with every action there’s going to be some-sort of negative.

“Zoey!!!!” my sister screamed down the halls to me.

“Nikki, what is it? Are you okay?” I questioned, no one had the right to even lay a finger on her, and if they did they would have to go through me first.

“Oh, nothing I just missed you so much during class I needed to see you” She let out a giggle, letting me know that she was fine. I knew she was fine but hey you never know what will happen.

“im glad you’re okay, but can you try not to make a commotion in school?” I lectured; this was our first time since the 2nd grade we actually went to a high school.  So, Nikki wasn’t really used to the fact that we had to be careful of what we do, because unlike homeschool there are actually rules. .

“Im sorry, sis but I really don’t know the rules yet” she said trying to get herself from trouble.

“That’s okay, but have you seen Kyle I want to eat lunch with you and him” I asked her discreetly so no one else could hear what we were saying.

“Yeah, he’s waiting for you in the back, he told me to tell you that you should sit with him” She gasped.

“Come on, I actually want to eat here instead of just waiting till I get home” I exclaimed.

“You packed a lunch?” she asked curiously.

“Of course, don’t you remember Takara-san well she came home yesterday from japan, and she made me some for today!”

            “Is she staying?”

“Well until tonight then she leaves to go back to Japan” I replied with a sincere smile. I and Nikki’s footsteps trailed behind us as we went to sit with Kyle.  Kyle was just finishing the same book he got that morning, I love reading but I couldn’t read that fast.
