Return of the Nexus

Chapter 1: Sheamus

"What a win for Sheamus over Keith Lee! I hope the WWE Champion Randy Orton is watching, because this man is arguably the favourite to win the Royal Rumble in about a month!"Tom Phillips' voice rang out through the monitor. A group of superstars were watching, but one man stood amongst the crowd with amusement. Wade Barrett. He watched his friend celebrate his victory in appeasement.

When wade got the offer to join NXT's commentary team, he saw his opportunity. For about a year, Wade had been planning to return his once dominant faction known as the Nexus. When he started planning, he didn't want a large faction of superstars, he wanted a European based Nexus. Centred around the three biggest European wrestlers in the WWE. Cesaro, Sheamus and Drew McIntyre. He knew Sheamus and Cesaro would be on board, but Drew would take some time.

Sheamus came backstage and was greeted by Wade. The guys shared a celebratory hug before venturing further backstage."Good to see you haven't lost it my friend!"Wade chuckled."Well my neck is more stiff than some other people's!"Sheamus joked.

As Sheamus and Wade headed for the locker rooms, Vince approached them."Wade, good to see you. If you two don't mind I need to speak with Sheamus privately."he said."Let's say you and I grab a feed of Guinness later, ya?"Sheamus asked. Wade smiled and patted Sheamus on the back."You know I hate that garbage!"he laughed. Sheamus mirrored the laugh and walked away with Vince.

Wade watched down the hall as the smile on Sheamus' face fade and turn to disappointment. Wade could tell Vince was scolding Sheamus for something. When Sheamus returned to Wade, he sighed."Apparently Brogue Kicking a fat fella in the face is bad for business."Sheamus growled."Seriously?!"Wade asked. Sheamus protruded his tongue into his cheek and nodded. Wade could see the anger in Sheamus' eyes. He knew now would be the time for recruitment.

"How would you feel if I said there was a way to get back at him?"Wade asked. Sheamus looked at Wade confused."What are you planning?"he accused. Wade cuffed his mouth and got close to Sheamus' ear."Are you Nexus, or are you against us?"Wade whispered."Give it up, Wade! It's dead!"Sheamus exclaimed. Wade backed off."But we can bring it back! You, me, Cesaro and McIntyre! We'll be the most unstoppable group known to wrestling!"Wade defended. Sheamus went to walk away but Wade grabbed his wrist."We can get back at anyone who's ever wronged us!"Wade used his last statement. If this didn't work, nothing would.

Sheamus snapped his hand away from Wade. As he massaged his wrist, he thought of the idea. He has worked great with Wade and his intended recruits. Maybe things could change with the Nexus in charge. Wait, was he seriously thinking about this? The Nexus didn't work before, why would it work now?! Sheamus' mental debate with himself took long enough for Wade to let out a sigh.

"It doesn't matter who is in, the Nexus will never reign supreme."Sheamus said before walking away. Wade lowered his head."Fine, but if you change your mind,"he called out. Sheamus turned to look at him."The offer will remain open."
