It's finally here! Wow, this chapter took longer to write than I expected. I admit I was slacking a bit but life also got in the way! I'm trying to graduate but my university wants me to stay forever! I just wanna get my diploma and zip!

Anyways, I will have to warn you guys that there are some darker themes in this chapter so read at your own risk!

Hope you enjoy this dive into Ooka's past! Vote and comment to let me know how you guys like it.

Btw, just some visuals on how Noma and Takashima look like. This is Noma (He doesn't wear glasses though):

Hiroshi Noma watched the girl before him in complete boredom as she demonstrated her ability for the 4th time that day.

"Alright Shohei-chan. That's enough. You can go back to your room," The scientist dismissed her, glancing down at his notes with disinterest.

Ooka gave the man no regards and strode up the stairs silently, eager to get away from the wretched basement laboratory.

Once Noma heard the door to the basement click shut, he let his frustration out, crushing the pen in his hand to pieces. He slammed his clipboard down onto the table before flipping his desk and sending it across the room.

Taking slow, deep breaths and running a hand through his hair, Noma calmed himself enough to think clearly.

"Her ability hasn't shown any sort of growth in months. It's nowhere near as powerful as Arahabaki... "

He glanced down at his notes, pondering over his past experiments with different subjects.

"Shohei wasn't the strongest out of all of them but she holds the most promise, given that she's still alive after all these years."
