Hello! This is my first novel... there might be some errors in it, still I hope y'all like it and if you do... please vote and follow me!

The first chapter might be "meh." but trust me it will be better as we proceed.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Ughhh!", I shouted in frustration when my hairbrush stuck in my wavy hair -- again!
Mom came rushing into my room with a *what now?!* look , I point to the hairbrush hanging on my hair, she rolls her eyes, well she should had laughed but this happens daily! So, she's kind of fed up now.

"Aaaaaaaaaaaah! I'm your only daughter mom!! Be gentle!!", she ignored me and kept pulling that silly hairbrush out of my hair!
A moment later I hear a shriek, which was definitely mine. I don't know what happened but I was in PAIN, I calm down and turn towards my mother.
What I see was horrifying. My mom holding the hairbrush with a bunch of my hair, I gasp and look into a mirror to see that a patch of hair was missing from my head. I shriek. I shriek loudly, and boy, it was an high pitched one. I shoot my mom a death glare while she runs away saying, "I'll go fix an appointment with the hairdresser!".

As she ran out of my room, I was in total panic, I have to go to school today, It's the first day! Who'll want to show up with a missing patch of hair!
While I was trying to find a cap someone rings the doorbell. I groan and proceed to open the door. I see a tall and handsome man standing in khakis and a button up shirt and a gorgeous, hot boy, who is probably my age, dressed in something I didn't notice cause I was glaring at his face.

I stop staring the boy when Man speaks up, " Hi, I'm Mr. Martin Pau---". He stops in the middle of his sentence and squints his eyes while staring at me. I completely forgot about that missing patch of hair and quickly cover my head with my hand, he still stares at me. I snap him out by saying, "Sir, how may I help you?". He speaks up again after nodding his head, " Hi, I'm Martin Paul and this is my son Marcus Paul, we are new in this neighborhood and thought of visiting our neighbors before heading to work."
"Hello Mr. Paul, I'll call my mother, she'll be happy to meet you." I say in a rushed tone and go inside my house to call my mom.
It's been 3-4 years since that house is empty, finally someone lives there.

"Mom, our new neighbors are here to meet us.", I say.
"Oh, Let me greet them." Mom says as she walks towards the door and gasps. Mr. Paul also had a worried expression on his face.
"I need to call someone." --" I left my car open" . Both of them speak at the same time and run away from each other.
'Marcus' and I shrug.
"I'm Linda Mathew", I say , breaking the silence.
He stares at me and then starts giggling.
"What's so funny?", I ask.
He points towards my head and bursts out with laughter.
I gasp and cover my head. "I'm getting late for school, will talk to you later." I say as I close the front door .

"Wow! What a brilliant first impression.", I think to myself.
No sooner I finally found a cap that matches my outfit, Yay!
I proceed to eat my peanut butter toast and head out for school. I was still embarrassed about my hair and Marcus, but I don't want to make my first day of school bad before it even starts. So, I dust that moment off and lock the house. Mom left earlier than me for work, she never did so before.
