Meet Day

Analise POV:

Present Day

I quickly stashed the bucket and mop in the janitor's closet and rushed out of the hotel and into the street and started quickly walking,no strike that thought I started running out as if the devil himself was chasing me!!.

Seeing him again brought back all that pain from the past.

For ten years i had been slowly but successfully building myself a new life, so why did he have to come now and remind me of all the things i had left behind???

I was finally going to graduate from law school,that too with amazing marks and had a set future ahead of me so why in the name of god did he have to distrupt it all? Cause disrupt he would.

I knew that my parents and he had been searching for me for exactly nine and a half years now. When they had finally come to their senses they had decided to accept me back but by then so much hatred had filled in my heart for those people who once my most loved ones in the world that by then i had done all I could to avoid even seeing their names.

Without realising I had reached my apartment block.

I let myself in and shouted in a panic "Day are you there?"

Day or David as per his christen name was my roomate and best friend.He had been the one who had helped me get through law school.He was an artist and had his own gallery where he showcased his painting as well as let others have a take at showing the world their talent.

"Hey Ana how come you are home early today? Scrubbed all those floors superfast hmm?"he asked with a smirk coming out from his studio with a paint brush in his hand.

"He was there Day,I saw him.What am i going to do now Day please help"I started sobbing as soon as the words left my mouth.

David dropped the brush he was holding to the floor with a loud clatter and rushed to comfort me.

I had been near starvation when he had found me nine years ago outside his aprtment building.He had recognised me from one of the newspaper clippings that had been splashing all over the 'DAILY EXPRESS' newspaper that year.He had taken me under his shelter and he had been such a comforting presence and so understanding that i had broken down all my story to him after a month of complete silence not once during which did he ever lose his cool with me.

When I had become comfortable with him and seen that he had no other bad intentions and treated me like his kid sister I had told him my story.

Thus this reaction from him.

"Oh Ana never mind, dont worry I wont let them get you. I will always be there to protect you no matter who comes to take you away against your will.Please dont cry sweetie."

"Thanks, but now i would have to quit my job at the hotel. How can i continue to work there?? He would surely get information about me from the manager??? Oh,Day i just had another two months to go and then i could have put this all behind me but now..."I continued sobbing.

"Don't worry Nana bear we will find you another job or i will pay for you"he soothingly said.

"You know I cant let you do that.I repayed your loan with so much difficulty I can't possibly take another one from you and as it is you have to invest your money in expanding your gallery. I cant hold you back Day.You know i would never do that Day"

He let out a sigh knowing it was useless arguing with me.

I was already starting to feel better and hoping that Lincoln wouldnt bother to track me down after all this time.

"Thanks David.I am so sorry i freaked you out with my outburst."

"Hey never mind,you can do that any time"he said and started getting up and going back to his work.

As an afterthought he said"Though you could pay me back for this outburst".

Amused i asked"Oh really and how will I do that Mr. David Lanchester?" knowing where he was taking this.We had played this scene a hundred times before.

"Simply by agreeing to do a nude for me"he smirked and said.

Shaking my head and ignoring him i walked down to my room with a smile playing on my face.

He shouted after me"Ana you have one of the most perfect bodies i have ever seen... So why won't you let me paint you?"

"You know nobody has to know it is you.I can keep your face hidden"

I politely told him rather stiffly"Day I am sorry but you know i can never do that.I have already told you it's sort of too personal for me".

He just knew that it had to do something with my past but he didn't know the real reason and neither did I ever intend for him to find out.

Saying that and smiling apolegitically at him I got into my room and started on my homework.I had classes tomorrow morning and i knew it was going to be a long day.

I walk up next morning surrounded by books.I had done it again.

I had fallen asleep while studying.These days with my multiple shifts at the restaurant and hotel, I was getting a tired a lot easily.Just two more months I repeated to myself as I had been doing ever since I started working partime"Comeon Ana just 2 more months. I can do it".

Sighing I got ready.

I had class in another 2 hours which just gave me enough time to finish my work,get ready and catch the tram.

1 hour later

I was on my way to Harvard Law school.I was a scholarship student.

Thus I was saved the cost of my education but still I had other expenses and I did pay Day rent even though he refused but I knew how hard it was for him speaking moneywise.He wasnt a millionaire unlike someone else.

Instantly I blocked out my train of thought.Seeing him yesterday had me revisting the past which was something I did not want to do.

LINCOLN'S POV

I had started to follow Lise when the manager had stopped me with his endless apologies and had continued on and on inspite of my reassuring him and trying to get him off my back.

I had to finally snap at him to get out but by then I knew it was too late.

She must have already run away. 

Next Day At Gregnshaw Industries:

"Janine please ask Lorreto to come in here for a moment"I beeped to my secretary.

Lorreto was my head of security.He entered the room.

"You called Boss?"

"Yeah Lorreto I want you to find her for me.I saw her in the hotel yesterday she was cleaning the floor. I want you to find out all about her where she is staying here what she does,EVERYTHING"

"I'll get it done boss"he said and exited.

Oh Lise now I knew where you were you are not going to get away from me.Ten years is a long time for you to have evaded me but now you are going to be caught and I'm not letting you go this time.

I smiled at my thought-the first real smile that had come on my face in 10 years.
