💋✖️Ashlynn's POV✖️💋
September 28, 2:12 PM"SPLASH ATTACK!!!" Nash shouts running into the water after me. My original plan was to wash out the sand pails, not to get soaked.
"NASH IF YOU GET ME WET SO HELP ME I'LL HIT YOU WITH THIS PAIL!" I threaten, getting ready to hit him. Nash smirks, and bends over, dipping his hands into the water, getting ready to splash me. "Do you want to die?" I ask, staring him down.
"WATERTIME!" Cameron shouts grabbing me from behind and dunking me, plus himself, into the cool, but yet refreshing, water. My back hit the sandy bottom, it was shallow water, probably half way up my calves. As soon as I resurface I send Cameron a death glare.
He notices and stands up holding out his hand, "sorry..." I take his hand, and pull him into the water. He didn't expect it so he fell back into the water, my plan worked. I couldn't help but laugh.
When he resurfaces he has a serious face, "Now you're done!" He says in a weird voice. I run out of the water, but I didn't stop there because Cam was still chasing me. I laugh as I keep running, my bare feet hitting the warm sand. "ASH!" Cameron shouts loudly. I ignore him and keep running, when I'm scooped up into his arms, I let out a surprised scream. He starts spinning me around, because he knew how much I hated it. But he probably didn't understand why. It's because I don't trust him.
I don't trust anyone.
I wrap my arms tightly around his neck as he spins around, picking up speed. I bury my head into his bare chest. I didn't wail out in fear, telling him to stop, not yet. Even though I hated this so much, I felt a strange sense of security. But that didn't make any sense because of all the fear I felt right now...
I finally reached my breaking point, "Cam stop!" I shout into his chest. He stops spinning, then falls over in dizziness, I land on top of him, my arms still wrapped around his neck. We land on the sandy ground with a thud. I lift my head up from his chest and look into his bright, chocolate brown eyes. He looks into my dull silver eyes, with a soft grin. I awkwardly but quickly get off of him. He steadily gets up, still looking at me in the eyes, his grin slightly faded. I nervously hold my wrist in my opposite hand.
"Cam, Ash! Come over here!" Nash shouts. Thank goodness... I walk over, Cameron a few steps behind me. "What do you guys want for supper?" Nash asks, I shrug.
"Doesn't matter to me," I say truthfully, what ever it is Cameron's going to force me to eat it anyways. I follow them into the kitchen of the beach house then we look at what we could make. They finally agree with dry ribs and nacho's, which kinda sounded delicious. I walk back out of the beach house, but stop by the entrance when I see Cameron playing with Maria and Skylynn. I quickly hide back inside and watch them through the window. Cameron gently splashes Maria with water as she chases after him in the shallow area. I tense at first when he lifts her up and gives her a piggyback ride, but I calm down after a minute of re-adjusting. This soft, gentle, friendly side of Cameron was my favorite side of him. I just wish he would show this side more.
If he would stop being the frightening, angry, abusive Cameron at school. Will he turn back tomorrow? Probably. I watch Maria's happy expression. She giggles and laughs and shouts "Run faster!" I could never picture myself doing the same. I can barely let him lift me up without freaking out. But what do you expect? I've lost all my trust for him.
I've lost all my trust for everyone..."Ashlynn!" Skylynn's call draws my attention towards her, "help me save Maria!" I casually walk out of the beach house and watch Cameron run around the shore with Maria on his back.
I run over and bend over by Skylynn, "Hop on!" I instruct and she does so, wrapping her arms around my neck.
"After him!" Skylynn shouts pointing at Cameron. I run after him and when he see's me he runs away screaming. I couldn't help but laugh at his childish behaviour.
