"Alright, everyone! Prepare to jump!" The Head of Lice announced as the troops were preparing themselves on a hat descending on a child's head. Harriet was quite nervous, as one is when they are preparing to lay eggs. However, she wasn't too nervous about just laying eggs. The amount of lice troops have tripled since her last mission and it was getting quite crowded.
Two days prior, Harriet accidentally locked eyes with one of the newer lice and instantly felt her heart flutter. Wow, she's so pretty and her exoskeleton looks so kissable- wait what's wrong with you Liceinski? That's disgusting, get your head out of your ass. Harsh words continued to swarm Harriet's head. Once Harriet cleared her mind and looked up, the other louse was gone.
Now Harriet was preparing her gear to jump onto a new scalp with her heart racing. She's jumped a million times but her nerves can't help it, suddenly her heart started beating even faster when she looked across the rim of the hat. There she was, the louse from the other night. She was standing, looking down at the approaching head of hair. Harriet almost forgot about the mission, the louse was just so beautiful, stunning, breathtaking. "READY... JUMP!" The Head of Lice boomed, putting Harriet's head back into the game.
The jump was long, but not as scary as Harriet thought it would've been. The second her feet hit the greasy scalp, she had her eye on the most beautiful strand of hair she's ever laid her eyes on. It was brown and thick and had very little dandruff around it, which gave Harriet more egg space. Harriet rushed to the strand and smashed into what seemed to be another louse.
It was the louse from before.
"Hey! This is my strand!" The louse sneered, asserting her dominance over the majestic strand of hair.
"Sorry, but I've got my eye on this one ever since I was fresh out of the egg," Harriet said in a polite tone.
"I don't give a human's boobs what you want, this is MY territory." Harriet gave her a nasty look.
"My god for such a pretty face you'd think that she'd have the same attitude," Harriet whispered under her breath.
"What did you just say?" The louse asked. Harriet looked at her badge.
"I said, Scratchma, that I'm not leaving" Harriet scoffed
"Well neither am I, Liceinski," Scratchma said, staring her down.Harriet wasn't sure if Scratchma was being serious, she hoped she wasn't. Harriet suddenly lost all of those previous feelings once she met Scratchma. She seemed so rude and Harriet was NOT looking forward to staying all night with her, as she decided to stay on her word.
"Alright I'm not moving but I should at least know your first name if you're going to stay here" Scratchma spoke up. Harriet hesitated and started stuttering from the shock.
"O-oh um, my name is Harriet" She stuck a hand out and the louse took it.
"Fleah"
"That's a very pretty name Fleah," Harriet gave a small smile, appreciating the sudden kindness.
"Thanks," Fleah said, with a small shade of red taking over her exoskeleton.
