2nd place!?

No!!! The other swimmer beat me by a second!

I clenched my teeth with frustration.

But then I saw girl who won first was an American swimmer.

The crowd chanted her name over and over.

At least least our team another gold.

I took my swimcap and my goggles off. The U.S.A. swimmer walked over to me.

"Nice swimming." she smiled.

"Thanks!" I smiled back.

She seemed nice enough.

Later at my metal ceremony, I got my silver medal. I felt different about things.

Maybe getting silver wasn't so bad...But I still needed to improve on how I swam.

Why not go sight-seeing to lift my mood after this! Great idea! I always wanted to see London at night.

Later...

It was really dark out. The only thing bright were shining street lights.

Big Ben was huge. I was gazing at while still walking.

Oof! I walked into someone. I looked in his face. He had short brown hair, a large, chin, and kind of crooked teeth.  He looked really cute!

"Um, are you okay sir?" I said awkwardly.
