"Yes Ivy I'm in bed, no your brother hasn't shown up yet, yes I'm going to play before bed, you joining? aight have fun studying. Night."
I hang up on Ivy, one of my best friends, though she's closer to my younger brother Matt. Because our college is a little weird, they always put a girl in a dorm with a guy. Why? Maybe because there's almost always some unspoken rule of "Don't sleep with your roommate"  but knowing the teachers, it's more likely that they try  to put people who would be good couples together.

In all honesty, nearly the entire school thought that Ivy and Matt were a couple until they realized that Ivy is very, very gay.
What Ivy was talking about earlier was the fact that Ivy's twin brother, Eric, is transferring to our college this year, and they gave him to me, because of how ahead I am in my classes. 

And because of how ahead I am, it leaves me with a lot of free time. Which used to lead to a bunch of boredom, until I got into gaming.
Now, I spend my nights gaming at a near professional level (if I do say so myself), occasionally live streaming and managing a small youtube channel.

I head to my set up and pull my headset on, starting a stream. As soon as I see the chat light up as viewers realize I'm live, I relax. Doing this just makes me happy, and tonight is just a chill Minecraft stream, since I don't want to stress myself out too much.

"Hey Guys! just a chill minecraft stream tonight, since I neither have the time nor the right number of friends to do anything else!" I chuckle and just play, occasionally addressing the viewers and reading the chat.

I pause when I hear the doorbell, and without pausing the stream I just take my headset off, heading to the door. Opening it, I see a rather tall guy who looks around my age, holding a bunch of luggage.
"Hey, are you Emma Granger?" He gives me a hesitant smile, as if worried about stepping over a line.
I just smile. "Yeah, Eric right?" I answer, noting the luggage and guessing that he's probably Ivy's brother.
He nods and I let him in. 
"I assume you probably know the layout, this room's yours, the far one is mine and you can see the rest of it. Few things you should know about all the dorms; the bedrooms are practically soundproof, so one has to be basically screaming in order for your dormmate to hear you, plus I have soundproofing panels on my walls because I make videos and have to be really fucking loud."
He laughs. "Alright, works for me. Anything else?"
"Our siblings live down the hall, all the classrooms are down the left-hand staircase, the clubs and restaurants are down the street, you literally can't miss it. "Curfew" is midnight, but that just means you need to be in a  room by 2 because in college no one gives a shit." I continue. "And I think that's it."
He chuckles and nods to me. "Thanks."
I remember the fact that my stream is still going and chuckle. "I'll leave you to get settled in, Night." I wave and head back to my room, putting my headset back on.

"Hey guys, sorry about that. My new roommate finally showed up." I chuckle and watch the flood of comments that comes in, varying from the extremely common "Can we meet him?" to the comment that someone subscribed to me to tell me, because it reads the messages of the people who subscribe out to me, the comment being; "Knowing you, he'll end up your boyfriend."
It just makes me laugh. "I doubt it, but if it does happen, I will do a cover of "My Best Friend's Brother", seeing as he is Ivy's brother. And yes, I mean Ivy as in TheGayGryffindor."

I keep streaming for nearly an hour before I start yawning and go to shut it off, but as I go to leave the game, a new user joins the server.
Curious, I go back to the game and check the chat notification:
'GryffinWolf has joined the game.'

Because I'm a curious bitch, I go back to the game and join the Voice Chat.
"Hey New Guy." I grin and watch my comment section while I wait for a reply.
"Hey." He replies. "Anything I should know about the server?"
"Uh it's improvisation scripted. Meaning there's a storyline, but it's not properly scripted."
"What's the current point in the storyline then?"
"I mean currently it's just peaceful and everyone's building, so you can really just join in where you'd like. There's two main sides in the "war", my side, which is just the greater world. And then there's the person who's just trying to build a country in in the mountains."
He laughs. "I mean sounds like fun."

I show him some of the world before I end up yawning again and leave the game, turning my set up off and curling up in my bed.
My head calm for once, I fall asleep almost immediately.
