❤ CURSED THRONE❤

The world began with several primordial begins. First came Chaos. Then Gaia, Earth. And finally, Eros, Love. From Gaia, they came Uranus, Heaven, who both created the gargantuan. And from the Gargantuans there born the major Gods.

The God of the sky, The water god, and the God of deads.

The God of the sky ruled from his throne on the home of the immortals, often using his symbols of the thunderbolt and eagle to warn or encourage the mortals. He was responsible for all the weather changing from lightning to snow, depending on his mood. He was also a protector of the home and strangers, meaning being a bad host could land you in deep trouble. After the God of the sky married to another goddess, they birthed the god of war and many other gods. But the God of the sky was also infamous for his many affairs with either goddess. He was also engaged in many affairs with mortal women who then gave birth to the angels, who stays beside the god of the sky.

While the God of water, was the most powerful god ruled the sea, created an earthquake and was the God of horses, much prized in ancient society. He had a palace at the home of the immortals, but an even more magnificent one under the sea where he spent most of his time. To cross the sea, sailors would have to pray to him and offer sufficient sacrifices, otherwise risked a painful death at sea. It was very unwise to cross the Water God as he held a grudge and could deal out a very harsh punishment.

However, the God of Deads was the oldest above both of them, ruled over the underworld where the spirit of the dead resided. The underworld had several guardians and trials, making it difficult for the dead and near impossible for the living to enter.

The gates pass the deadly river Styx. The one and the only way to get passage from the Ferryman. The ferryman required payment and this is why the burials included placing the coins on the body of the deceased. If the soul could not afford to enter, then they were fated to wait on the shores of the Styx forever.

Past the ferryman, lays the fabled three-headed dog who guards the gates of the underworld. Ultimately, the soul will reach the three judges of the underworld who decide where it should go. They can choose Elysium, the fields of Asphodel and Tartarus.

Elysium is akin to heaven, a peaceful place where the souls of heroes, demigods, and especially good mortal reside. The Asphodel Meadows is the place for ordinary folk who did not achieve anything notable in life, good or evil. And Tartarus is very similar to hell and contains criminals who upset the gods who are tortured for eternity.

The god of the dead was a god with the ego of not letting of the thing he once liked and it happened when he got jealous of his younger brother, the god of the sky. He was jealous of his popularity among all the deities. The god of deads wanted to dethrone the god of the sky to sit on his throne. And he started making his own way to reach the throne, first, he started to bribe those god who shared the same ideology as him, he then declared war against the god of the sky.

The world was still young when the war in the heavens started but was about to be destroyed by the impact of the war between these two powerful deities. Immortals gods once thought incapable of death, discovered they had the power to kill each other and so many gods had to die in this war of throne. However, as it was already known, the war winner was the god of the sky. The victor declared themselves as superior diety and the bereaved, The god of deads was punished with forever imprisoned within the underworld.

Accepting his defeat, the god of deads, started his departure to the underworld with a warning he gave to the God of the sky, that he will get betrayed once again by one of his trusted men and then the throne will belong to him. Though it was just an empty warning that ever defeater gave to the winner in anger or embarrassment, yet it made the Sky god, anxious.

Not too later the jar of empty warning started filling up with the noises of treason and soon it was overflowed when an unexpected trusted man betrayed the God of the sky and attacked with some other men to seize his throne. And the one who did rebel against him was none other than but the god of the sky's chosen angle, Azrael.

Azrael chose to attack the god of the sky when other gods were not at the home of the immortals. He purposely chose the day to do his misdeeds when the other gods were sent to check on the universe made by the god of the sky. However, the one thing Azrael forgot was, the god of the sky was everyone's superior who held the most powerful weapon of the thunderbolt, and none can defeat him, even if he was all alone.

The god of the sky was angrier this time than he was when his brother had come to take his throne as he was expecting this to happen one day since the beginning so he was prepared for his betrayal, however, he had never thought that the one he himself choose over thousands of gods to stay beside him even when everyone was against his decision he was sticking to his decision as he had faith in his angel, Azrael, as much as he had in himself, yet again as others had said that Azrael was a mortal before he was chosen to become an angel of the heaven and it's in the nature of the mortal to betray their own shadow and he would betray one day or another, and finally that day had come when he didn't disappoint others but chose to disappoint his father, the god of the sky.

On that day, the god of the sky shed the tear of sorrow from his eyes, which can see everything in this vast universe, yet he had ignored this day when he had already seen. As his faith was much heavier than the future he had seen. That day, those tears had fallen on the earth, making every living being cry the sorrow he was feeling by the betrayal of his favourite angel and his son, Azrael.

Azrael had seen the angry god, it was the first time he was meeting with an angry god, the god who could destroy everything in his anger. But Azrael had come with strong intention to seize the throne so he ordered his fellow angels who came along him, to follow his lead. Nevertheless, they all were turned into ashes with a loud thud of a thunderbolt, some of them vanished into thin air and some surrendered, kneeling in front of the god of the sky to have some mercy.

Azrael was still standing in front of his father in war gear, he knew, he could not win against his father and he was ready to take his punishment, as it was the punishment for he had thought with this heart for the first time in the eternity and it was the last time he had a chance to think with his heart as he was punished with a punishment, none had imagined.
