It had been basically four months since Elizabeth and I had seen each other. I had been circling the globe on our world tour, and she had been at Georgetown studying.
Washington D.C. was our first stop on American soil for the tour, and we had just arrived at the airport.
I missed her everyday, and always thought of her. We messaged and called, video called. I had begun to see her in places where she was not. Suddenly our song "Back for You" made complete and total sense.
I smiled at the other boys; they were all joking around as we walked through the terminal. We rode down the escalator and could hear the screams. Fans were lined up, caged in by ropes and security. We arranged for the girls to be able to get through. The screams became deafening as we got to the bottom and rounded the corner.
I did not see Elizabeth or Ali immediately; they were probably having trouble finding us through all the people. I turned to see Liam.
I felt bad for him, and the rest of the boys. They had not seen their girlfriends since the beginning of February. We were all going a bit crazy.
"Liam, if we're playing tonight, when is soundc--"
"NIALL! NIALL!" I heard her scream, and I could pick her voice out of millions. I whipped around.
I saw Elizabeth running towards me with a smile, full speed. I dropped my bag and opened my arms just as she hit me. I spun her around. She was sobbing into my shoulder.
"Oh, Niall, I missed you so much."
"I love you." I said. "Please stop crying."
"Why don't you stop crying?" She jumped onto the floor and wiped my eyes, and I smiled. "There's the Nialler I know." She kissed me.
"I love you, too. Let's get on, then." She smiled and grabbed my hand, leading me out.

"Alright, I'll see you out there." I kissed Elizabeth's forehead. The concert was just about to start, and she was leaving to go to her seat.
That concert was one of the best concert I had ever played. I looked straight into her eyes the entire time. Every lyric about love and laughter all was so relevant now.
She smiled and sang along, giving me motivation. It was our second to last song when I saw her missing from the crowd.
Elizabeth
They had about five more songs after this; they had just started "Kiss You." I was wearing jeggings, brown biker lace-up boots, and a red flowy button-up blouse. my hair flowed to my shoulders and my makeup was natural.
I smiled as Zayn got into the second verse, and I motioned Niall over, singing along. "C-c-come over here, over here, c-c-come over here, yea." Niall ran across the stage. My seat was right at the edge. He leaned down and he sang, while I basically shouted the lyrics back in his face.
"Oh I just wanna show you off to all of my friends, makin' them drool on their chinny-chin-chins. Baby, be mine tonight, mine tonight, baby be mine tonight, yea." He leaned down, and I stood on my toes to give him a kiss before he ran back to the boys.
"Lib, we better get backstage." Ali said, and I nodded. I grabbed my purse and went backstage with her to greet our guests of honor tonight. We had a major surprise.
"Hello, lovelies!" I said, spreading my arms wide and hugging each of them. "You ready?" They all nodded.
Niall
We began singing Back for You, and I still could not find the girls anywhere. We got close to the end of the song, at Liam's solo, "Lately, I've been going crazy, so I'm coming back, yea, I am coming back..."
"FOR YOU!" Zayn sang, and suddenly there was a huge outbreak of screams from the crowd. We thought it was just for Zayn's solo; we were all facing the crowd at the front of the stage. Then, we heard people yelling at us to turn around, and so we did.
There they were, all five of them, walking toward us. Elizabeth had exchanged her jeans for a red lace dress and a big smile as all four of the other girlfriends came out behind her.
All the boys crashed into their girls. I smiled at Lib. "What the hell?"
"Flew them in yesterday. They've been waiting for the boys." I kissed her. She was too perfect.
"Ladies and gentlemen, I would like for you all," Louis said, taking Eleanor's hand, "to meet my wife!" He was met by screams and applause.
We all lined up, all ten of us, with our arms around each other, and we smiled out at the approving crowd. Not everyone knew about us, but some understood how in love we were. That's all that counted.
------------------------
Later that night, I sat in Elizabeth's dormroom. Ali had gone to stay with Harry, as she had no class the next day.
I was on a bed, playing around on a computer. "Wait, so why do you have class tomorrow? It's Saturday."
"I don't, but my professor wants this paper submitted by noon tomorrow, and I've barely got it started."
"All-nighter?"
"That's what it's looking like, and we get to spend it with marketing figures."
"Sounds fun."
"You're distracting me. I love you."
"Love you back." I said, sitting quietly while she finished her paper.
-------------------------
The next day, we both got dressed and decided to have a picnic on campus. Neither of us were in the mood to cook, so she ordered in from Nando's and we sat under a tree on a blanket. We were done eating and she just laid her head in my lap.
"So." I said.
"Niall, I can't keep doing this for the next few years. All this traveling and...it's too much."
"No, you can spend summers in London with me, and I'll visit you at school as often as I can. It'll be grand, really. I promise."
"I dunno..."
"Promise." I kissed the top of her head. "Tell me everything."
She went off in a tizzy talking about her classes and the most brilliant professor and some bitchy girl on her floor. She talked about writing and politics and meeting the senator. She talked about everything, and I listened.
I listened, because that was life for me now. Even though I was seen as one of the most talkative in the band, I had nothing on Elizabeth. She could talk for hours and hours, and she talked with such passion and life, that I could do nothing but listen. I never minded if she bossed me around. It was just how it was going to be, because Lib was the kind of girl to take charge and not let it go. She was the kind of stubborn you admired, because she always went for what she wanted. She was driven, and I loved it.
