"The devil is hiding somewhere inside this hotel, and not your average devil, either," Aki informed.

Then they heard someone running up to them "Aahh I'm sorry I'm late!, my grandma asked me to help her with her errands, I did not notice the time.." he puffed and took his breath.

"Who is this, Himeno?"

"Sallos, glad you made it in time." Himeno greeted the tanned skin boy,

"This is Sallos, he will be helping us with this devil, just in case." she smacked his shoulder.

"Anyways, I repeat what I said, there is a devil hiding inside this hotel we're going into and it's not your average devil."Aki holds up a string with a bullet attached to, "The gun devil's fragments is being drawn to it. That means it's a devil that has eaten a fragment."

"Isn't that supposed to mean that the gun devil's here?" Denji asked him.

"The larger the fragments, the stronger the attraction. This is too small for that."

"That seems cool!.. Gimme it!" Power demands.

"..." Aki stared at the two," Where are your manners?" he questioned. The two went "What?" and mocked him.

Aki shows two chewing gum wraps to both of them. Denji and Power stop mocking him, started to call Aki formally, calling him sir. Aki handed the chewing gum to them.

"Uh, can I have one too? Please?" Sallos nervously asks.

"Since you asked nicely, I'll give you one." Aki hands one chewing gum to Sallos, "Thanks." he stuffed the gum in his pocket.

A young man with short spiky hair spoke "Mr.Hayakawa, as people who supposed to fight together against a devil..., is it really okay to be trusting our backs to them?" he said," One's a devilman, the other two is some punks, I'm sure I can't trust them."

Aki and Himeno look at each other, Sallos in his thoughts, Kobeni probs nervous as fuck.

"We're not going to be leaving our backs to them. They'll largely just be leading the way during the devil extermination. If they tried to run away, or side with the devils, then we'll kill them." Aki stated.

"Aren't you just treating us like animals?" Power spoke.

"You two don't have any human rights!" he retorted, Denji and Power distanced themself from Aki and uttered to themself something about a prank.

"THAT WAS NOT A GODDAMN PRANK! I'LL FUCKING KILL YOU!" Aki loses his shit and starts yelling at them.

"Scaaary... What happened.." Himeno said anxiously, " Aki, it's a bit mean if you're only swinging the stick. "

"Yeah! I almost died because of that bat, and I'm already getting dragged back out to work! Where's my reward!" Denji ranted.

"Ohhh! I'll pitch in too!" the eye-patched woman offered' "I'll give whoever kills the devil this time... A kiss on the cheek!"

"Eh?!" Denji surprised. "Ehhh?!" Arai exclaimed," That's! You shouldn't do something like that! An unmarried maiden doing such a lewd.." -- Himeno interrupted " What? People work harder when there's a reward, right?! Right! " while clinging to Kobeni.

Denji zone out, thinks for a moment, before saying "I don't need a kiss.."

Scratching his head "It's fine... I got my motivation already."

"Oh?" Himeno asked.

"I already decided who I want for my first kiss. I'll gather these fragments and whatever else for her... I ain't kissing anyone until I got I murder the gun devil." Denji announced.

"The gun devil... You..?" Aki shocked. "Hoo boy, saying that to Aki's face?" she teased.

"Besides, I learned something important. Doing sexy stuff feels good because both sides understand each other. I don't even know your name. Your lips ain't nothing to get excited about." Denji continued.

"You don't say~~" she got up close to his face, "Then, if you kill the devil, Denji... I'll give you a french kiss." Himeno offered him and smiled while Denji was still processing what she told him.

When it clicks in his head, he sticks his tongue out at Arai. The other devil hunter was displeased at him.

Entering the hotel, they walk to the area where the devil is supposed to be. Aki focused on the mission, Himeno chuckling to herself, Kobeni still nervous as fuck, Power thirsty for blood as always, Sallos on the phone with his grandma and there's those two...

"It's dangerous to go alone! Stop!" Arai shouted, chasing after Denji.

He then slammed Denji back against the wall using his back, "I owe Himeno for training me for half a year!" he bawled, "If some punk out of nowhere's going to steal her lips, then I'll take a kiss on the cheek!"

"Beat it!" Denji grunted, struggling to get free from Arai.

"Quit clinging to me, asshole! You're makin' me sick! Fuck off!" he barked," Don't put what I'm tryin' ta do on the same level as your shit!"

Himeno, who seems to be staring off the distance.

"Do you think your new recruits will be usable? Aki questions her.

"Arai's a bit lacking in ability, but feels like he's got enough motivation. On the other hand, Kobeni's a bit reserved and tentative, but she can move well. And Sallos is learning the ropes."

"What about yours?" Himeno asks him in return.

"The blood devilman is strong, but she got a short fuse. There is still a chance she might betray us." He answered, "And there are still too many uncertainties with Denji. Hard to say."

"These five rookies.. do you think they'll survive?" She quizzes him.

"Guys who I thought were strong, and the guys I thought weren't have died or gone to the private sector within a year." He replied.

"That isn't an answer Aki..." Silence accompanied them, " Don't die, Aki."

They all turned to a door.

"Aki.."

The door opens by itself.

"It's coming."
