His eyes looked tired, more bloodshot than normal, his hair ruffled and looked like it had been played with, but in reality, it had just been him pulling on it. He looked rough, but he could hardly sleep once he got back, his mind taunting him of the events from the night before. Today was a different day, which meant he had to get back to his not reality and not be plagued by the fantasy of last night.

It wasn't like he would see the prince again, they didn't visit the city. Even if he did, the city was quite big, not the biggest, but big enough for it to be extremely hard to find him. It wasn't like he would want to find him anyway though, I mean yeah he kissed him and hell he even proposed, but that was probably only due to the pity or guilt he felt for giving in to his urges and kissing him. He wasn't exactly surprised that the prince had been brought up to be a gentleman, and therefore have strict codes on the intimacy they are allowed to engage with. He barely even knew him, and if he did get to know him he was unsure if he would actually like him- Max wasn't the most interesting person to himself, he thought that he was rather plain and average, which made him question, even more, why the prince had seemingly taken an interest to him at the ball.

Maybe he was just bored, that was always a possibility. If you can't go out very often, it's probably very likely for someone like that to take an interest in a person that gives him the first ounce of attention that he had probably been craving for. He was nothing special, he knew that so he knew not to let his dreams interfere with his reality. He knew that allowing himself to dream, or rather hope maybe cause him to feel more pain than he already had once he realised that it was time to say goodbye...

Charming's P.O.V

"I would've said yes if I knew you better-" those words had been ingrained in his brain ever since he left, him thinking about how he screwed it up so early. He was desperate to chase after him, so desperate- Yet, he felt like he had done everything wrong. It was true what he said, there was no way he could propose to him so soon when they had barely gotten to know each other. It was only because of his stupid urge, and weakness to fight off his urges, that he had gotten himself in that situation anyway. He had kissed him and then felt like he needed to correct his mistake with marriage? That was definitely a dumb move on his behalf, but now he was just pacing up and down the corridor, wondering what to do.

His eyes looked tired, his hair more shrivelled than usual from the lack of sleep he had gotten. His mind had been taunting him all night, replaying the actions- trying to memorise the feeling of his warm lips on his, how they tasted before he shook them away and think about how that kiss, no matter how good it was, was the cause of his mistake.

Marriage was still the answer in his mind, he was determined to marry him now. Maybe it was to fix his mistake, but he knew how he felt that night. Even if he hadn't gotten to know Max very well, he couldn't deny the magnetic pull that he felt towards the other. Nor could he deny the colour that seemed to spark in his world as soon as he entered the room, the attraction felt momentary. It was the way he treated him that surpassed the momentary attraction, instead of being replaced by the feeling of equality.

There was something special about Max, he didn't seem to be too scared of his title or afraid to treat him like any other than who he was, a boy that was just like any other. Despite the many people he had met, nobody had seemed to do that before or seemed to dare look into his eyes the way he did, almost like he was trying to fully read and understand him just by looking into his eyes and therefore looking into the depths of his soul.

Charming's mother was walking down the hall, when her eyes caught sight of her son pacing back and forth in the corridor looking frantic. Her eyes were curious, but it reminded her of her husband when he wanted to ask her out, maybe he had met somebody last night- Oh, how exciting that possibility would be,

"Darling, what's wrong?" She asked him, concerned laced in her tone. His attention was directed to her, allowing her to see the purple bags under his eyes which made her only more concerned, had he not slept very well? Whatever the problem was, it clearly was bad enough to keep him awake all night.

"I did something stupid mom- I kissed a guy and then I asked him to marry him. Who the hell does that except someone as stupid as me?" He frowned, but it couldn't help but make her laugh.

"Oh my god-You met this guy once and you already sound like you're hopelessly in love with him," she chuckled, but the way he looked back at her with her eyes soft and tender, fragile like he was on the verge of tears made her laugh be caught in her throat. Oh- this was no laughing matter at all, he could see in her son's eyes that her statement was true, which meant she had to do something about it.

She suddenly remembered something that the cleaner had found when they were sweeping up the stairs of dust from the party last night- something somebody had dropped. There were so many people at the ball last night, the possibility that it was the guys were very slim, but yet she still scurried off to ask to them to find it before returning with a small card.

Charming's eyes glanced at it confused before his mom explained that it could be possible this was where he worked, which made him cling onto that card with so much hope, almost like it was his prized possession that nothing could ever replace.

"God I hope he works here, he may not think I am coming to find him, but I am. I'm going to find him..."
