An unfortunate end

It was the old abandoned and condemned Arkham Asylum building where they had traced Tim Drake's location also known as the second Robin.

Batgirl and Batman were in the old Operating Theater. Joker and Harley Quinn have turned it into their own little house of some sort. It was strange that the two of them have now found peace because as long as Barbara could remember, Joker always treated Harleen terribly. Once he even told her about how that clown pushed her out the window.

She hid behind the seats while she watched both of the clown's talk to Batman. They had him in the palm of their hands, but he had given her the signal not to throw a Batarang and give away her position. Batgirl understood and she would just let this whole thing play out until they got Tim and then take the two nutcase lovers to the newer Arkham building where both could get the help they needed.

"Mommy's little helper," Harley said patting her weapon that she fired Batman with.

Joker then kissed her on the cheek and turned to Batman. "You know Bats, we've been doing this little run around of ours for years." Each word that came out of his mouth made Batgirl really want to jump in because she felt like something bad had happened to Tim. "It's been loads of laughs, but frankly none of us are getting any younger."

"That old clocks a' ticking," Harley added while patting her stomach.

He turned to look at his crazy girlfriend. "Quite right, Pooh."

"We thought the time was right to settle down and start a family, add a Joker Junior to our merry little brood." Explained Joker with an evil smile.

Barbara kind of had a feeling where this was going but was hoping and praying in her mind that Joker and Harley weren't sick enough to go through with it. That would be downright inhumane even though Harleen and Joker are already extremely crazy.

"But rather than go through all the," Her voice then had annoyance and disgust in it. "JOYS of childbirth!" She then brought her voice down to a much better level. "We decided to adopt."

Joker went over and grabbed Harley's hand then walked over to the sheets that Batman tried opening before. Both of them got on one side and looked at the caped crusader evilly while Joker explained.

"We couldn't do it legally, but then we remembered that you had a few spare kids laying around, so we borrowed one." He then pulled back the curtains and both Barbara and Batman saw some sort of operating table that was used for transporting patients with extreme tendencies such as; the clown prince of crime himself.

The looks on their faces knew exactly what Joker and Harley had actually done. They were crazy enough and Barbara couldn't believe it!

Joker got back to explaining while the operating table moved out of the darkness and approached the light. "He needed a little bit of moulding of course," He looked over at Batman. "What kid doesn't? But in time we came to love him as our own. "Joker looked into the small dark figure of Robin. "Say hello J.J."

What used to Tim Drake was now broken down and built back up. It was sort of like if a child broke a toy and tried to fix it again. Joker had broken Robin and rebuilt him in his image! That sick monster actually did that to a poor young little boy!

Tim kept on laughing uncontrollably and got out of the table and jumped down to the ground. Harleen grabbed him and tried to protect him almost like a mother would protect her child. It was sick and demented even though all Harley wanted in life was to have one with the clown prince of crime.

Batman got free and tried throwing a Batarang at the insane lunatic, but Joker dodged it and baited Batman to follow him, but this specific Batarang had a hint of anger. It was almost like Batman had intended to actually kill his nemesis and break his one rule, the one rule that kept Batman from being like all the other crazies he fought! This seemed like it might actually be the end! Tonight one family wasn't leaving this building alive from what it seemed.

As soon as Joker and Batman had left, Batgirl jumped down and kicked Harley Quinn into some boxes. She then went over to Tim and tried to talk to the broken down boy.

"Tim! It's me, Barbara! Don't you remember?" But then Harley punched her in the face and knocked her to the ground. She pointed at the heroine with anger in her eyes. "Hands off, Bratgirl!"

She then looked at the broken down Tim and asked him something in a sweet, motherly tone. "Sweetie! Go grab mommy's-" But Bargirl got up and kicked her in the face, but the crazy clown jumped on a chair and did some acrobats out the door.

She followed and only saw her for a quick second, but then she disappeared into the darkness.

Batgirl tried looking for her all over the run-down asylum. It was the same place that Harleen was once a one-time psychiatrist but fell in love with the Joker.

She then thought that maybe there was still a tiny part of Harleen, a part that she could hopefully talk out of doing all of this madness before somebody else got hurt.

"How could you do it, Harley? Help Joker do that to Robin?" She asked in the darkness.

A second later she got an answer but wasn't exactly sure which direction it was coming from. "So I roughed the kid up a little, but I'll make it right." Said the former psychiatrist.

"Yeah, you'll win mother of the year award," Batgirl said sarcastically while she continued searching under every single rock and area that Harley could be in. The only problem, it was too dark to see anything.

Harley meanwhile was on top behind an old ruined structure as it kept on raining. "You'll see I'll make it right." She then changed her voice to almost an eerie whisper that couldn't be heard too well as she picked up a boulder. "We'll be one big happy family." She promised.

Harley had meant it too! She was going to make it up to Batgirl, but first needed to put Batgirl to sleep for just a little while until Batman is done with her puddin.

With one last look at Batgirl, she threw the large boulder at the heroine's head when she wasn't looking.

The boulder hit head-on and knocked her unconscious. Harley jumped down and looked a Batgirl. She felt sorry about all those times she had to harm the young girl. But it wasn't going to happen anymore! Once Joker finishes up with Batman then she'll make it up to her!

The words 'we'll be one big happy family' repeated in her mind. There would be no more hate towards the bat family. She would keep her promise and take good care of Batgirl.

But first, she needed to know who was underneath that mask? They already knew of Batman's secret identity, but not Batgirl's. She carefully pulled off that mask and saw Batgirl was actually the commissioner's daughter! It was very surprising and would've helped for a neat idea to gain some sort of ransom from him, but this time that wasn't the goal. This time she promised that it would be over and finally she would settle down.

Harley smiled at Batgirl and noticed that there was blood coming from her head. She was worried that something bad might happened to the heroin, so she grabbed her and carried her back into the Operating Theater and sat the young girl onto the table and then put a towel underneath her head. There was a chance that she wouldn't make it, but Harley had faith that Batgirl would survive.

Of course, once she woke up, Harley would need to do the same thing that they did to Robin to her! This time though Harleen would do it herself and make sure to break the girl's sanity and then recreate it in her own image. Of course this time there would have to be a few changes but in due time, she and Mr. J would have themselves a daughter!

She waited until her puddin and JJ came back with the corpse of Batman. Joker never stopped laughing now knowing that they won!
