Love, Your Knight

prologue

Chikara looped around the tree once more before looking at (Y/n) who eyed the rose bush, "BOO!" He shouted at Yuuji, 

"I found you!" 

"But that's not fair, (Y/n) helped I saw it!!" (Y/n) ignored his comment "My turn to count now!" 

Mr. Yui Terushima called out to the children for lunch before they started another round, "Ok daddy!" "Let's go!" The three boys are ran playfully to the tall man to eat. Yui chuckled at his son and friends silly behavior before closing the door and following.

The three friends Yuuji Terushima, (Y/n) Ennoshita, and Chikara Ennoshita were 5 at that time period. Now it's been three years and some drama has happened, Yui Terushima left his family to 'work' in America.

 He left without saying goodbye nor leaving a note. Nothing, he just went to grab the milk in the middle of the night. Aiko Ennoshita, mother of (Y/n) Ennoshita, now helps Alaine Terushima with caring for Yuuji while she works day and night.

Alaine used to only work part time when Yui was with them, she'd take day and he'd take night. It was the perfect system and it payed the bills good but now she's on her own, Aiko has offered to give her some money to help as well but Alaine has always been stubborn.

 Sure she had cried every night for two weeks and it still hurts her from time to time but she tells her self, "Stay strong for Yuuji."

Even when Aiko has to work, she lets her sister Yua take care of them. But Yua is on bedrest due to a new baby, so her husband Takanashi takes care of the kids. It's been about a month since Yua gave birth and is able to move around but can't go down the stairs just yet.

 Aiko and (Y/n) really want to see the baby, even Yuuji is a bit excited for a new friend to make. Aiko decides to go visit her sister since it seems like it's time to get out of the house.

Aiko knocked on the door to the Ennoshita Household, Chikara answered "Hi Auntie! Momma is upstairs and Papa is in the kitchen cooking lunch!" Aiko always loved Chikara's cheery mood, maybe it'll help Yuuji a bit, she thought. 

"Hey Chikara, why don't you and the kids go play and I'll talk to your mom okay?" (Y/n) and Ennoshita answered excitedly, "Okay!"

"Yes Auntie." Yuuji answered murky. Aiko kneeled down to Terushima's height. "Yuuji, I know your sad about him and you miss your mom a lot, but I promise you that this weekend she is going to have it off and you'll get to spend time with her." 

"Really?" 

"Really." Yuuji had a happy face now and was excited to finally spend time with his mom again. He only gets to see her some days of the week, a full week tops, and sometimes not at all. 

"Now don't tell (Y/n) but once we leave, we're going to get ice cream okay?" Yuuji air zipped his lips with a smile and left to go play with his friends.

As Yuuji walked into the living room, Chikara and (Y/n) were debating whether to watch Beauty and the Beast or 101 Dalmatians. 

"Yuuji which one?" Chikara showed both DVDs, he walked over to Chikara and the pile of DVDs and chose a movie of your favorite.

 The two Ennoshita cousins looked at each other and synchronized, "Great!"

"And how about some lunch to go with a good movie?" Takanashi walked in with trays in hand.

"YAYYY!!"

Almost close to the end of the movie, they had finished all their food and were starting to doze off in their pillow/blanket fort, both cousins had their head on Yuuji's shoulder. Him being the oldest of the bunch also qualified him as the tallest. 

Chikara had fully fallen asleep and was now falling off Yuuji's shoulder, while (Y/n) was dozing off every two seconds. "Uh oh," Yuuji whispered to himself, "Ah come on you guys."

Yuuji softly laid Chikara on his side, but with his movement he had woken up (Y/n). "Sorry (Y/n), I didn't mean to wake you." "It's fine Teru-" He yawned mid-sentence, "I'll just lay down here." 

(Y/n) grabbed a pillow, setting it on Yuuji's lap and got comfortable while covering up. Although no one but Aiko knew this, Yuuji began to question his sexuality a few weeks ago, let's just say, he saw some interesting fanart. 

So when (Y/n) laid down on his lap, Yuuji blushed a bit and started to play with his fingers.

"Hey Teru?"

"YeA?" Nice voice crack Yuuji, nice one.

(Y/n) looked up at Teru, "Don't tell Chika this, but come closer." Yuuji leaned down closer, "I was the one who accidentally killed Leo." They laughed quietly thinking back to the memory of the upside down blue beta fish.

Minutes later the movie ended and Yuuji was petting (Y/n)'s hair, "Ya know (Y/n), I like being with you and Chikara. It really takes my mind off of my dad and our situation, I really love you guys and hope we can stick together as we get older-" 

He was interrupted by a little snore coming from his lap. Yuuji chuckled lightly at the sight and kissed (Y/n)'s forehead, "I love you guys," he whispered. He soon fell asleep but didn't know that (Y/n) was awake during his confession,
