Reading Iris Potter and the Scorcerers Stone.

Chapter 6 Poison

As everyone reconvened into the reading room. they noticed Scorpius and Tom wasn't joining them on the seats but rather sitting off to the side away from everyone else. 

"Scorpius, Tom come sit down" JMR says. 

"We're going to sit here for now, father" Scorpius says sounding a bit firmer than normal. 

walker held his hand up stopping JMR from speaking. "Is there a reason why?" he asked. 

Scorpius tightened his arms around Tom. "Yes" He replied but doesn't elaborate. 

Destroya and Andy on the other hand seem to have understood though, because they give the two boys a look of understanding and reassurance.  

"You might not understand it," Destroya speaks up after a moment. "But those two need each other right now, their bond is...different from everyone else. all they have is each other"

"They have us" James speaks up indignantly. 

"No James, this...this is very different" Destroya replied.   

"How so?" jasmine asked. 

"You will understand when you are older" Destroya says with a sigh. "Right now, they are two frightened and injured children against the world. they are the only thing keeping each other from falling apart. and that dynamic they have is being threatened. They need to process and adjust." He says. 

JMr nods slowly, not quite understanding, but more accepting. 

Poison walks in snatching the book up off the table anxious to hear what happened next and plops down beside Pheonix and Andy, who was, for some reason holding his wrist tightly. Poison began reading as Phoenix and Andy lean in resting against Poison. 

The next few days consisted of Iris moving about the castle on auto-drive. Her friends staid close to her, except for when she visited the hospital wing. They would give her space as she sat next to Selene. 

"Thats courteous" Walker says.  

They had not managed to find this Diary that Selene had talked about in her note.

"darn" Jasmine sighed. 

Tom looked up. "What's does it look like?" 

"a black leather notebook with his name on it" Phoenix replied. 

Tom gave a small smile and ducked his head down.

Everyone was currently in side the great hall eating dinner and chatting about one thing or another. The common topic currently was the odd occurrence that was happening outside. Since Selene's attack, the moon has been full and bright that seemed to never go away. It staid visible even during the day. 

Everyone perked up at that.

"What's happening with the moon?" Jasmine asked. 

"It could be a number of things Jasmine." JMR replied. "But in this instance, i believe it is connected to Selene's attack." He says looking to Destroya.

Destroya blinked. Shrugged but nods. 

No one knew what to think about what was happening with the moon. 

Iris noticed Melinoe looking around as though she expected to be attacked at any moment. "Mel?" She asked. 

Melinoe jumped a little and looked over at her. "Y-yeah?" She asked. 

Phoenix chuckled. "Oh, poor Mel" she says with a small smile. 

"Do you know something?" Iris asked sounding hopeful.
