𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 | شدتIt was a stormy day.
The clouds were crashing with one another as if fighting for authority.
Rain poured down heavily onto the khan haveli. A heavy silence settled between the mountains, the silence with was interupted by the wails of a woman.
The woman being Maira Shehroz khan.
Accusations upon accusations were thrown on the young woman who stood there crying holding her four year old whose twin was held by her nine year old son, next to him stood her seven year old daughter.
The little girls eyes glistened with unshed tears. Unaware but saddened by her mothers distress, she stood there next to her big brother who was also crying silently.
All the men, children and women of the manor had gathered, men who stood there silently beside their women who had yet to cease there accusation.
The young children of the said men and women stood there gaping as they were not able to comprehend the situation.
In a distance stood an elderly couple, mother and father of the said young woman, watching but not once defending their little girl.
Their face was turned away from their said daughter as they failed to do what parents do, protect their child.Absent was the husband of the wife who stood there crying, she couldn't fathom the allegations nor could she fight as her words would fall to deafs ears once again, like always.
"Maine qatai yeh nahi socha tha k yeh aisi hogi." Spat Naima Asfandiyar khan.
(I never expected her to be like this.)
"Meiney bataya tha na apko appi k yeh bharosey k qabil nahi!" Added Baneen Daniyal khan.
(I told you, sister. She's not to be trusted.)
"Yaqeen nahi ata k meiney is per bharosa kia, bicharey shehryaar ki bhi qismat phooti this jo is badkirdaar aurat sey shadi karli." Added Naima.
(I can't believe i trusted someone like her, poor shehryaar, he had to marry such a characterless woman.)
"Bas iska wajood mei ab is ghar mei aur bardasht nahi kar sakti, hamari betiyon bachiyon per iskey ghirey hue kirdaar ka kya asar parheyga." Baneen said as she grabbed her sister-in-laws hand and dragged her towards the front door of the manor, her children followed.
(Enough, i can't bear her presence un this house, it will only effect our children.)
"Khuda k liye mujh per rehem karein! Allah ka kuch tou khauf karein..mazeed kitna jhoot bolengey ap bhabi! Meiney apka kya bigara hai jo ap mujh per itna bara bohtan laga rahi hain!" Maira shehryar khan screamed back. She had had enough of the lies.
(Have some pity on me for God's sake..how much more will you lie bhabi [sister in law] what have i ever done to you for you to falsely accuse me to such extent?!)
Her own bhabi had conspired and slandered whatever was left of her image that too infront of her parents and inlaws. She had even turned her sister against her.
