14 Ultimate Students and a killing game. That is the reality of the situation that now stood in front of us. The girl next to me stood up, and promptly exited the room. "Guess she didn't appreciate my sense of humor," I joked.

"Really? Joking? You think now is the time for jokes?" one of the blue haired girls asked. I looked up at her, and shrugged.

"They're bluffing, or something. Nobody's gonna kill each other anyway. Relax," I sighed, getting out of my chair. "I'm gonna go head to my room. Nobody bother me."

"Wait, Oka-taaaan! You're just gonna leave me here? We should work together!" Hana shouted, quickly running over to me. "We shouldn't just go splitting up yet. What if they aren't joking?" I rolled my eyes, and nodded.

"Fine, whatever. Stick together, yeah."

"Glad someone talked some sense into you, dirt worker," the blue haired girl added. Her sister jumped, and tugged on her sleeve.

"Carolina, that's rude! Please stop!" Carolina quickly pulled her arm away from the shorter girl.

"Knock it off, Camille. You're making me look bad." Camille backed away, and left her alone.

As we spoke, a boy climbed up onto the stage. "Alright guys, listen up!" We looked, and he awkwardly adjusted his hat. "Buy it or not, we gotta take this seriously. No other students, weird bears, this doesn't seem off to you? So we're gonna treat it like it's real."

"Why do you want to be in charge, exactly?" Ace asked.

He scratched his head. "Well, to be honest, I don't. But all this arguing is not getting us anywhere. If this is real, fighting is gonna lead to death. And we need to focus on getting out of here."

"Yeah, he's right!" Camille shouted. Carolina glared at her, seemingly embarrassed. Another girl hopped up from her seat, and climbed onto the stage.

"What's your name, hat kid?" she asked, nudging him gently. "I'm Chidori, Chidori Sato. The Ultimate Navigator! And I think you should lead us to our freedom!"

He blushed a bit. "Nah, I just like my card games. I'm not fit to be a leader. I'm Finn Tsugamori, Ultimate Card Wars Player."

"Shut the hell up, plane girl!" A girl with red tattoos shouted. "We have other options." She walked right up to Makoto, and pointed at her. "Hey, buddy." The two stared at each other. "Weren't you involved in something like this before? I remember hearing that in the news,  yeah?"

Makoto stammered, quickly looking around the room. "Uh-well, yeah! I was. And we survived." She grinned. "And I plan on doing it again!"

"So, how'd you do it?" I asked, making my way over to her. "We should know, right? If you did this before, you should clue us in."

She fumbled over her words, before looking right back at me. "Afraid I can't. As long as I have that info, you guys need me alive. Consider it immunity."

"You villain!" Hammer shouted. "You would put us in danger for your own survival? That is not the way of a hero, cruel mistress!"

She made her way to the doors. "I'm not trying to be a hero, meat head." She then pushed them open, and left.

"Bitch!" the tattooed girl shouted. She turned her head, and looked at us. "You guys got a problem too?"

I laughed a bit. "None, not a single thing." This seemed to set her off, because she stormed over and got right in my face. What the hell did I do wrong?

"You mocking me? That's an insult to the Kuzuryu Clan right there, asshole." She leaned in, forcing me to back up. "You want me to kick your ass?"

Hana leaned over her shoulder, and tilted her head. "Woah, the Kuzuryu Clan? You're with the Yakuza then, right, right?"

The tattooed girl laughed. "Damn right I am. Tomiko Matsukata, the Ultimate Hooligan and last of the Kuzuryu clan!"

Super Hammer took off in a sprint towards us. "Yakuza? I will not have a criminal in our midst! Prepare to be defeated, villain!"

He dove into the air, and before he even got close, the blonde girl with pigtails gave a swift kick to the jaw, sending him falling to the floor. "No fighting today, kid," she stated, curtly. She turned her attention to us. "Jordynne Storm, Ultimate Football Star." She spoke quietly and monotonously. "You're welcome, Tomiko."

Tomiko blushed, and began stammering. "You-well, I-I could have handled him!" She rushed out of the gym, covering her face.

I walked over to the stage, and approached Finn. "You said something about working together, right? You think that'll work?" He looked over at me, and smiled.

"I mean, it'll be better than this. The big guy got knocked out and everybody's pissed at each other. It couldn't hurt."

I shrugged. "I guess. If there's no better options, I'll work with everybody."

Chidori jumped up and down excitedly. "That's great! We're gonna make it out of this, don't you worry!"

"Nice to see you guys putting a little party together. No party is complete without a Dungeon Master at the reigns, though, so I'll happily be taking over now." We looked over, and saw Alex approaching the stage.

Chidori frowned. "Oh, we don't mean like a group with rules and a leader. We just mean cooperating to survive. It'll be more like an adventure! And everybody's an equal."

Alex scoffed. "No rules? What do you mean no rules? That's ridiculous."

I took the chance to slip away from the three, and made my way past Hammer's unconscious body and to the exit. On the way, I noticed a masked girl sitting beside him. "Come on, Mr. Super Hammer, get up already!"

I laughed. "What are you, his sidekick?"

She stood up. "I am no sidekick! I am the Ultimate Luchador Puma Kid!"

I rolled my eyes. "So you're one of those fake wrestlers?"

Her eyes went wide. "Fake? Fake!? What do you mean fake!?"

I ran as fast as I could, dashing through the doors and holding them shut behind me. I could still faintly hear her yelling as I made my escape.

I swear, everybody here is crazy except me.
