Where are they now? What would a reunion look like?

How did Dwayne fare over at Kinishewa Electronics?

What did their child (or children) turn out to be like? What is Ms. Whitley doing? Did she stay in education or go back to being an art buyer?

What is Kim & Spencer doing now? Did Freddie & Ron stay together?

What is Hillman like now? What happened with The Pit after Mr. Gaines passed?

And what about our other favorites —Jaleesa, Colonial Taylor, son Terrence, Gina, Terrell, Dorrian, Charmaine and of course Ms. Lena James.

Last we left them...

Whitley Gilbert-Wayne had just announced she was pregnant with husband Dwayne's first baby. Dwayne had just accepted an offer working with Kinishewa Electronics in Tokyo, Japan. Kim Resse had just accepted the marriage proposal from fellow medical student Spencer Boyle. Freddie Brooks was headed to law school and her boyfriend Ron Johnson co-owned the night club Where the Blues will be Played, while managing upcoming singers.

Dwayne & Whitley have been back and forth between Japan and the states over the past 20 years. After leaving for Tokyo and getting settled, Whitley comes back to the states and stays with her mom for the last 2 months of the pregnancy. The job allowed Dwayne to work remotely for the month of the birth and then he was on paternity leave until they all returned to Tokyo. Their first child was a girl then they had twin boys 4yrs later. When the twins were 8yrs Kinishewa relocated the family to London to set up a new office. They were there for three years before returning to Tokyo. Currently Dwayne is able to work remotely but was recently presented with the opportunity to establish and run the New York office.

Dwayne, Whitley, Freddie, Ron, Gina, Charmaine, Lena,Terrence, Dorrian & Terrell were all at Kim & Spencers wedding in the islands that was two years after Dwayne and Whitley left for Japan. Both Kim and Spencer are now successful doctors. Spencer is a pediatrician in a private practice. Kim is a cardiac surgeon. Kim, Spencer, Ron and Freddie all flew to Japan following the birth of the Waynes' twins.

Over the years the friends have kept in contact via social media, groupMe & texting. Its allowed them to hit the high points & share pictures but still not as close as when they were all living together at Hillman College- now Hillman University.

Let's catch up with them all:

Gina- graduates with a General Studies degree and went on to be a radio personality. After being mildly successful she went from being a failed talk show host, to online talk show/social media personality. She's had several serious relationships and was engaged twice. She's currently contemplating her next move 

Dorrian- graduated with an English degree and a  Masters in Education. He's currently married with 3 kids & their very active at their local church. Dorian teaches English at an all boys school where he also coaches basketball.

Charmaine Tyesha Brown- graduated with honors with a double major in French & business administration, going on to earn a MBA. Five years after graduating, as planned, she was married and right on schedule 2yrs later had a daughter. Unfortunately her neatly planned and scheduled world fell apart when after 10yrs of marriage she was divorced and is now dating again. She and Terrell remained friends and chat regularly via text.  

Terrence Taylor- drops out of Hilman and starts working random call center/sales jobs trying to figure out his true passion. He realized real early he was good at sales and eared a very good living. He was earning way more than his cash strapped collegians even though he was very unfulfilled professionally. He marries a girl he meets at work who comes from a big close knit family. While working he takes night classes and ends up graduating with a degree in business.  Currently works in sales management.

Jaleesa Vinson-Taylor & Col. Taylor- had just welcomed their daughter a year earlier and Jaleesa was running an employment agency out of their home. The couple is still happily married enjoying their empty nest. Their daughter Imani Taylor went on to attend Penn State. Jaleesa continues to run her employment agency from her home office targeting seniors and new grads from Hillman and surrounding schools. Col. Taylor's oldest daughter, Suzanne returned to Germany after receiving her Master's from Hillman

What brings us all back together now...

Sadly we are here to lay to rest and memorialize Woodson "Woodchuck" Wayne. He passed from heart complications and the Hillman family has come together to support the friend and brother Dwayne Wayne.
