Excuse the grammatical errors 🙃

-----------

I have been traveling for the a long time with no stop, I don't even know what day it is and I need to find shelter before a storm comes. The sky was already twisting with anger and swarming sorrow knowing that the rain would not be a drizzle, I finally came in sight with a hotel when I heaved a sigh. I walked across the street making sure there were no car passing by and made my way into the building, it was filled with fluorescent lights that made the room look better than it already was, The setting was decent with a old-modern pattern going throughout with the furniture and painting. i walked up to the reception desk where a man was standing there with a scowl on his face as he stared at me, maybe because of the stench that he can smell or my appearance either way I can tell he doesn't want to talk to me.

"excuse me" I say timidly

"what do you want" he said with acid dripping from his mouth

"I would like a room please" I told the man but he just laughed cynically

"sorry sir we don't serve people who haven't bathe in over a month"

He just called me sir even when I am a girl but I guess how I looked with my tattered clothes and unkempt hair anyone could mistake me for a boy. I sighed knowing that the man here probably just wanted to go home and sleep just like how I would so I attempted one more time.

"excuse me sir" I say getting his attention again " but please reconsider I have all the money here with me" I pulled out a bag of gold coins

He laughed "man this is America, Florida to be exact so we don't use coins for payment unless its for the little things that aren't important like candy or something" he said looking over the desk "and we don't take mutts"

"well can you make-"

"no means no so find somewhere else" he interrupted me "go now before you stink up my lobby you bum, come back when you have real money"

He turned away from me so I took my queue to leave the hotel with a shocked look on my face. How could anyone be so rude to a complete stranger, one that needed a place to sleep for the night and was happy to pay extra for hospitality but instead was called a bum and their dog a mutt, he was not even a dog, a wolf yes, but not a dog in sight since I've been here and that was for a week now.

I was a stowaway on a boat from England to get here because on planes they check your passport and if I gave them my real or fake date of birth they would know something was up. From the boat yard I made my way around the Country of Florida, only getting through half of it, meeting generous people along the way to help me and granted them respect and gratitude before making my way further North. I was now sitting on a curb at the corner of a shopping centre really looking homeless then I already was. Alexander was whimpering while putting his wet nose underneath my hand, he wanted me to stroke his fur to comfort him and relax me more than anything,

"What are we gonna do now especially since a storm is upon us" I sighed and at that moment rain poured

"great my luck today is just magnificent" I say lowering my head

We were miles from anything that could cover our heads as the rain became more furious by each passing minute with occasional strikes of lightening to frighten my poor Alex. I thought all was lost when I felt my head become dry from an umbrella someone put over me. I looked up to see that a tall, muscular man was standing in front of me getting his suit wet, which looked expensive just by a glance.
